The Age of Lost Omens was a thing in 1e as well, they're just using it to name the setting now.

The current year is 4719, and the Lost Omens World Guide goes over the changes that happened since the Inner Sea World Guide (which was set in 4711).

The current Golarion year = Currrent Earth year + 2700 so this year is 4719 AR. Unless otherwise stated, everything written has always been happening in the year it was produced, so the timeline has advanced every year for the past 12 years.
