Pathfinder Agent: Deft Cooperation and the Aid action

I am intrigued by the concept of playing a Human Rogue who buffs allies non-magically and the Pathfinder Agent from the lost Omens World Guide seems like a really great path for this character but I am confused by the language of the Deft Cooperation feat and how it interacts with the Aid Another action.

In the core rulebook, it looks like the Aid action is a reaction that can assist another character when making an attack roll or skill check. It requires a "prepare" action during your turn to set up this reaction, but that action is never spelled out. Which is fine. The prepare action is essentially a narrative description of how I plan on helping my ally do something (specifically attack or make a skill check) when it is no longer my turn.

In the Deft Cooperation, the language of the first application of this feat seems to refer to an Aid Action that can either grant a bonus to attack or to AC, but I don't see any aid action that enables a bonus to AC. Am I missing something? Is this enabling something really cool with a future skill or general feat, possibly?

And as far as the feat works, if I do want aid an ally with an attack roll or a skill check, and then benefit from this feat, Does my character take the following actions:

Round 1: I must spend 1 action preparing the assist action, 2 free actions.
Reaction between rounds 1 and 2: I make the check to assist my ally.
Round 2: If I succeeded in assisting my ally, then I get a +1 circumstance bonus to my own check to complete the same action before the end of my turn.

I think I have this right but I wanted to double check. Thanks in advance.

Ah yep I asked this as well in the rules area. (Might wana flag this one for moving over there since it seems like a rules question rather than advice)

As far as I can tell yeah, that's right.

Taking the book example+expanding.
You and an ally are gonna climb up a wall. You're ally is going first, to t ether the climbing kit/rope/pitons into hte wall.

Round 1: you use one action to prepare aid. In this case, you're holding/tethering the guide rope.
Their round 1. They climb. you attempt to aid. You succed. They climb X amount.
Round 2: You climb with the extra bonus. (but you would not get the bonus if you weren't using athletics to climb). You could aid again as well
Their round 2. They can finish clmbing or climb more. and you're aid goes off again.
