Certainly not in the PRD, and thus perhaps not to your liking, but I will mention d20pfsrd.com just in case you did not know about it.

There are direct links in the menu on the left as well as under Game Mastering on the main page.
Disregard if you prefer the PRD :)

The description of the derro says: "This pale blue humanoid has bulging white eyes, wild hair, four-fingered hands, and a large hooked club."
Judging from the hyperlink for the word "wild", the hair's armor bonus adds to his AC even when he's in wild shape. Is this a new addition to the rules? ;-)

Any chance of a downloadable copy of the PRD in html form? I have the book PDFs, but as a reference, the PRD is much faster to use. Whenever I'm in a place without an internet connection (like on a plane), it would be really handy. There are tools out there like wget that might work, but I'd rather not pound your site to try to make a localized copy. I'd be happy to pay for it.

d20pfsrd.com has hosted a fully downloadable version of the rules in html format for some time. Due to special restrictions dealing with Google Sites the files are spread between two archive files.
You will need WinRAR or any other application that knows how to deal with RAR files. RAR, for those who do not know, is just another archiving format like ZIP.
First, download both of these files:
Second, extract by double-clicking on Part 1 only (it will automatically get the necessary files out of Part 2).
Note: That version was made sometime ago and so some of the links may or may not work. I forget what condition it is in.
Let me know if you encounter any issues.

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/glossary.html
On the glossary page, the side menu doesn't list the Bestiary pages (e.g. Monster Index, Monsters by Type, etc.). At first I thought I was just looking at a cached version, but it doesn't appear so.

On the glossary page Invisibility for standing still
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/glossary.html#invisibility
is listed as -40, should be +40
In the universal special rules
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/universalMonsterRules.html#ener gy-drain
Energy drain is listed as becoming permanent after the 24 hours on a failed save, this is contrary to the rules printed on the same topic here:

In the feat table (on this page --> http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/feats.html), for Persuasive it reads:
Persuasive | — +2 | bonus on Diplomacy and Intimidate checks
The "+2" is in the wrong cell.
DeathQuaker RPG Superstar 2015 Top 8 |
In the lists of summonable animals for Summon Monster I and Summon Nature's Ally I, the "Viper (snake)" goes to the Snake bestiary entry... where there is in fact no Viper statblock. The link specifically drops you to the "Constrictor" entry, which as a CR2 creature I don't think was intended for a level 1 summon.
I think the only place there are stats for the Viper are under the section for Druid animal companions. Otherwise, I might just delete the hyperlink to avoid confusion.

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/equipment.html
The table "Armor for Unusual Creatures" is missing rows for Tiny or smaller creatures, and yet it still has the footnote noting that the armor bonus is halved for such creatures.
(The same error may be in the .pdf and the book.)

Thanks Ross for the updates.
Sorry, but I have to report two more (yea, you knew that was coming):
1. http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/combat.html
The following paragraph, the "treated as 'disabled characters'." part points to http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/injury-and-death which gives a 404.
Recovering with Help: [snip] Conscious characters with negative hit point totals are treated as disabled characters. [snip]
2. http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/spells/summonMonster.html
When I click on the Bebelith link I get a 404 for this link:

Quandary |
For the spell Fire Shield:
Why are the effects named "Warm Shield" and "Chill Shield"?
Shouldn't it be, you know, FIRE Shield and Chill Shield (or Frost Shield to go with the bold theme)?
Obviously this is semantic, but I feel like it's an artifact of some editing process at some point, and perhaps not intended in and of itself, because it seems bizarre for the spell to have such a bold name, but it's exemplary manifestation to be so ho-hum.
How does this play out: "I cast... Fire Shield!" "Do you mean... Warm Shield? Well, the Demi-Lich considers getting cozy and sharing a cup of tea... nah, ENERGY DRAIN!"

It's warm shield because that's what it was before I would assume.
Quandary |
Sure, but it still doesn't seem consistent. Just because 3.5 was the same, doesn't make it good writing. If it ONLY protected against damage, calling the effect "Warm Shield" could make sense, but it actually does damage against attackers, i.e. it's not just 'warm to the touch' but is actually hot enough to do Fire damage. I just don't see the justification for the DIFFERENCE between the spell name and the effect name. "That's what 3.5 called it" doesn't answer WHY it should be so.
Anyhow, obviously not a game-play issue, I just happen to hate bad writing.
Sean K Reynolds Contributor |
Because it's even worse writing to have the fire shield spell have an option called "fire shield."
Player #1: I cast the fire shield version fire shield!
Player #2: Really? I cast the fireball version of fireball.
GM: Rocks fall from the sky. You all die.
Either way, it's not errata. The flames are cool to the touch or warm to the touch; you don't take damage from the flames, nor do your allies or objects touching you. The flames only kick in to their full effect in response to an attack, otherwise they're just "warm" or "chill." Otherwise your allies couldn't touch you (say, with curing spells) without hurting themselves, you could make fire or cold touch attacks or add to your unarmed damage, and so on.
In other words, as the spell says, it is just "warm to the touch." Unless someone is attacking you, in which case they crank up to full power.

The headers in that table are all sorts of messed up, it lists BAB, Fort, Ref, and Will. When it's supposed to be the various size categories. I don't know if this has already been addressed or not.

(Note: These may be issues with the Bestiary too, but I don't have a copy to check, so I'm listing them here. If someone with the Bestiary can confirm these, I'll be happy to add it to that errata thread too.)
Humanoid Warrior Hit Dice
The drow, duergar and kobold entries appears to be incorrect.
They list 1d8 hit dice, which is the racial hit dice for humanoids. But the humanoid type and the sections on those creatures as characters both say their Hit Dice are defined by character classes.
So they should have 1d10 hit dice from the warrior class.
Kobold Stealth
The kobold's Stealth skill also appears to be too low:
It has the following entry for skills:
Skills Craft (trapmaking) +6, Perception +4, Stealth +6; Racial Modifiers +2 Craft (trapmaking), +2 Perception, +2 Profession (miner)
As a first level warrior with an Intelligence of 10, it gets two skill points. Breaking it down, it appears its skills were determined like this:
Craft (trapmaking) +6 [+0 Int, +2 Race, +1 Rank, +3 Class Skill]
Perception +4 [-1 Wis, +2 Race, +3 Skill Focus]
Stealth +6 [+1 Dex, +4 Size, +1 Rank]
But kobolds have the "Crafty" special quality, so Stealth is always a class skill. So shouldn't it have a +3 class bonus, giving it a total Stealth of +9?

The PRD has been updated with the newest errata to the Core Rulebook and Bestiary. If you spot any errors or other discrepancies, please post in this thread or email me.
The kobold entry still has the old Perception score in the senses line.
The kobold entry has an extraneous line break after its Intelligence score.
The drow entry has the wrong hit points. As a level 1 warrior, it should have 5 hit points and 1d10 for its Hit Dice.

I have not corrected the invisibility table or drow stat block, because they have not yet received official errata.
Then I'm looking forward to the day when "Connention" is officially changed to "Connection". :-)

Several minor issue's that I have noticed on the site:
On the Eagle page (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/eagle.html), the Giant Eagle stats are listed under eagle (and the eagle anchor, http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/eagle.html#eagle), then the eagle entry, and the header for Giant Eagle is all the way at the bottom. The Giant Eagle listing needs to be moved way down on the page (or the anchors/titles corrected)
Also, on the Equipment page (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/equipment.html), the link to Splash Weapons under the description of Alchemist's fire links instead to vision and light (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/additionalRules.html#vision-and-light)
On the Druid page (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/classes/druid.html), in the list of abilities for level 1, there should be a space before "orisons" (right now, it is "nature sense, orisons" with no space), and later on, in the description of animal companion feats, there are still two subsequent commas (where Weapon Finesse is missing (see http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/pathfinderR PG/general/archives/druidAnimalCompanionFeatList&page=1#3)
This last one is more of a rule wording issue, but the wording of True Resurrection (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/spells/trueResurrection.html#true-resur rection) says that you are revived with no constitution points (rather than no LOSS of constitution points): "Upon completion of the spell, the creature is immediately restored to full hit points, vigor, and health, with no negative levels (or Constitution points)".
