Dominate person on invisible target.

Rules Questions

So, say the target is invisible or otherwise unseen by the caster but the caster knows they're around. can they cast charm or dominate person on them? or similar enchantment spells

No. You need line of sight to target that (and many other) spell(s).

Hypnotism would work surely as they just need to see the effect ?

But as mentioned none that directly target anyone

If you sense them via blindsight, or other means of "seeing", you can target them.

You can also target them if you touch them, since that is a "touch" sense kind of seeing.

Blindsense is not good enough, nor is pinpoint the square.

Otherwise, I agree with you.
