Damn. I thought I knew the answer to the question but I thought he would have had to ASK first

So that final scene was on 5th avenue?

Yes, that scene was taking the piss out of Trump. The whole season has been doing the same to his followers.

Finally got around to watching the season finale. It was….interesting.

Spoiler:
I loved the fight between Maeve and Homelander. She made him bleed, and didn’t get killed, so I’d call that a win.

I was sad to see Black Noir die. I was really starting to like him.

Going forward, I honestly don’t see how The Boys can win. No more super powers, since V24 kills. And of the three most powerful supes, two are against them, and the third has been put in containment again (and would probably be against them anyway). Unless they can get Ryan to ultimately turn against his father, I don’t see how they can win.

So, Head Popper is VP now (or will be). That’s yet another extremely powerful supe against them, and this one will be able to sick the US government on them. Hell, by then she might be President. Unless Homelander kills her.

Either way, I’m not sure I’ll be watching when the show starts up again. The story just seems to be dragging now, with no obvious way for the “good guys” to win. At least, not one that wouldn’t probably be ludicrous. Between that, and the usual Hollywood bias on steriods, I’m just not sure I’d enjoy it much anymore.

For what comes in season 4, I wouldn't count Edgar out. I expect him to re-surface in season 4 and that man always has contingencies. Guessing he's going to be the new ally for the Boys and have a plan for Homelander.

Well, butcher can use temp V one more time.. and has no reason not to.

Especially at the 12 - 18 month range, and make it a blaze of glory.

Maybe they’ll combine two elements from the comics - have a dying Butcher on Temp V kill Homelander, then goad Hughie into finishing him off. Putting Butcher in Black Noir’s place and Hughie in Butcher’s place.

This is a series featuring a threesome with an octopus, an intra-urethral massage and Butcher using a supe baby as a weapon. I don't think we're going to have a non-ludicrous ending, and I am 100% here for it when it comes.

Damn! Now I know why Starlight and Hughie always seemed so f@$)ing familiar to me. They starred, along with some other chick, in a music video for CCR’s Have You Ever Seen The Rain back in 2018.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will play a recurring character in Season 4. No word on who, but I look forward to scenes with him and Karl Urban together.

I’ve been leery about continuing to watch this show, feeling they’re dragging the Homelander stuff out too long (among other childishness). Still, this news has piqued my interest a bit. I shall be cautiously pessimistic.

And the season 4 teaser trailer is out! And delivers on my hope for a fun scene with Karl Urban and Jeffrey Dean Morgan!

I've highly enjoyed the 3 opening episodes of the season. Lots of fun, horror that you can't take your eyes from, and seems like every character has some great narrative arcs planned for the season. I especially love the Homelander homelife scenes, with and without Ryan.

Also, if anyone hasn't seen it yet, check out the latest commercial for X Liquid Death featuring the Deep.

I'd try that at least. the guy knows water.

Well. Thats one way to get over childhood trauma.... traumatize it right back.

Revenge is a dish best served... oh hell both ways

Keeps getting better each episode, which is unexpected considering how high the bar is. I cracked up in the farm scene when Frenchie "I can't believe this is F-ing happening to me again", referencing the scene a few episodes back when he was super high and Keiko was fighting people, and he thought it was more hallucinations. Or alternatively that he had previously experienced a farm full of V-ed up animals. Either way I couldn't stop laughing.

Wow, the finale didn't pull any punches. It was a great mix of highs and lows and was really good to see certain characters resolve some things and work through to a better place. But man did it end on a dark note, or dark symphony to extend the metaphor. I'm glad they left a few things up in the air, as cliffhangers, plot points which simply didn't reach an ending yet, or just the entirety of how season 5 shapes up.

I am expecting that Gen V S2 will once again set a few things up for The Boys S5 based on a few of the similarities of their finales, as well as the crossovers which happened.

I still think Kripke needs to bring in a Doctor Doom type figure to help fight the Supes.

Maybe Ashley?

Nah. She's not ruthless enough. I want a Doom like to be a Doom of Dooms. Some one from outside their reality to come in and just obliterate the Supes.
