Soul Bind is used to get a newly dead monster-with-SR's soul into a gem.
The Greater False Resurrection restores the body but calls a belier devil to posses the new body. [As opposed to a shadow demon for the regular version.] The greater version is needed if you lack the body.
Failing the SR check means the subject (soul bound monster) can negate this call and gain gain the option to return to life in the new body. If they choose to negate the call, the devil (or demon) does not come. They may then choose to re-enter the new body.
I think they want the magic circle to interfere with allowing the target's soul from returning to the new body. This does not work.
If you instead make the SR check, then manage to drive out the devil (demon), you get a new body with no soul. I think this is what they are trying for. Dismissal or Banishment should do the trick here.
Greater Possession makes the caster's body vanish while the creature is possessed.
To be a permanent flesh suit, you need to overcome the hour per level duration of [greater] possession, and the day per level duration of [greater] false resurrection.
Since you are tossing around high level spells, it is simpler, and easier to do the following:
1) Neutralize the target monster, still living.
2) Grab a bit of flesh from the target. [For use by the Clone spell]
3) Kill the monster.
4) Soul Bind
5) Cast Clone and grow the new body (takes 2d4 months).
6) Cast Greater Possession as desired for your meat suit as above, but no worries about the day per level limit for false resurrection. You still have the hour per level limit to possession.
