Rage help

Rules Questions

I’m starting a new campaign (RoRL) and have a questions, I have a Druid, skald bard, summoner, cavalier, and barbarian in my group. If the skald plays his rage song, how does that affect:
1) the barbarian raging
2) the Druids animal companion
3) the summoners edilion
4) the cavaliers mount
5) the Druids summons from summon nature ally?

Thanks for the help.

1) if just using the Skald's Song then Barbarian can use the Skald's Rage Powers but their own bonuses. To use their own Rage Powers they'd have to use their own Rage instead.

2-5) They can accept it all I believe, unless there's a clause stating they can't.

Is that what you meant?

Otherwise everything Rysky said is correct. The summons/companions/mounts/etc can all be affected as long as they're not deaf as far as I can tell.

No Rysky is correct, the skald class specifies that if you have access to rage from your class you can use your bonuses rather than those the skald provides, plus you are not fatigued after the song ends.

PFSRD, emphasis mine wrote:
Inspired Rage (Su) At 1st level, affected allies gain a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution and a +1 morale bonus on Will saving throws, but also take a –1 penalty to AC. While under the effects of inspired rage, allies other than the skald cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration. At 4th level and every 4 levels thereafter, the song’s bonuses on Will saves increase by 1; the penalty to AC doesn’t change. At 8th and 16th levels, the song’s bonuses to Strength and Constitution increase by 2. (Unlike the barbarian’s rage ability, those affected are not fatigued after the song ends.) If an ally has her own rage class ability (such as barbarian’s rage, bloodrager’s bloodrage, or skald’s inspired rage), she may use the Strength, Constitution, and Will saving throw bonuses, as well as AC penalties, based on her own ability and level instead of those from the skald (still suffering no fatigue afterward). However, inspired rage does not allow the ally to activate abilities dependent on other rage class abilities, such as rage powers, blood casting, or bloodrager bloodlines; the ally must activate her own rage class ability in order to use these features.

Oh right I miss-read what Rysky was saying.

I was reading it as this...

Quote:

... which is why I thought there should be a "not" in the middle.

So if the Barbarian is using the Skald's Raging Song they can't use any of their own Rage-Powers, but they can use their own Rage Bonuses (STR/CON/Will-Save/AC-Penalty).

At the risk of missing something while pointing out what appears to be people missing something, 1 doesn't just say "the barbarian"; it says "the barbarian raging".

Ok, it's like this:
If the Barbarian is already raging, they can't benefit from Raging Song without ending their Rage (and suffering fatigue) first.
If the barbarian is not raging, they have two coices:
1) Accept the song, including the Skald's rage powers. They can use their own bonuses (+4Str/Con, +2 Will, -2 AC) if they want. They are not fatigued after the song ends. They do not use up rage rounds. They can not use their own rage powers.
2) They decline the song, and start their own rage. They are fatigued after the song ends. They use up rage rounds. They can use their own rage powers, but not the Skald's ones. In effect, it's as if the Skald wasn't there.
