HI!, I have a couple of question of this ability and how interact with con otras acciones.
1) if a creature make an attack with grab ability and remplace it with trip maneuver and success (ignoring if it create or not aoo). can make his grab attempt as a free action?
2) if that creature decide "use the part of its body it used in the grab to hold the opponent." how work it when mantain the grab?, especialy with varius oponents.

I pretty much wouldn't use the Grab Ability this way. I would only use it to get the +4. But I will try to answer your questions.

So, like if an Alchemist with a Tentacle makes a Trip Attack with the Tentacle, can she still use Grab to Initiate the Grapple?
I never thought of this. I don't see why not.

The Free-Action Grapple following an Attack with the Grab Ability can only be used to Start a Grapple.
If a creature with this special attack hits with the indicated attack (usually a claw or bite attack), it deals normal damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action
Presumably, you could attack again, hit again, and Grapple again, but then you don't get use the Grapple to Maintain: Move or Pin.
I would suppose you could make a regular Grapple Check as a Standard Action against a creature you have Grappled with Grab to then achieve a Pin or something, and you can also remain unGrappled yourself if you continue to take the -20 to your roll.
