Paladin Vengeful Oath reverse Alignment Check

Classes

On page 109 the Paladin ability Vengeful Oath states that the ability to harm an evil creature with Lay on Hands "doesn't prevent you from healing an evil creature with lay on hands, and you can't use it to determine a creature's alignment if you aren't sure."

This seems to apply to the case where you heal an evil creature, wrongly believing it is good. But does the ability also allow you to HARM a good creature, that you wrongly believe is evil? (If it doesn't, then you can use it for an alignment check by just assuming that the target is evil and intending to harm them.)

Silver Crusade

No.

You can choose to use to have it Damage Evil creatures, when it would normally heal them. Neutral and Good targets are healed normally.

And yes that is one way to route out Evil, though it does require expending your LoH.
