I have a player who wants to be a soulknife (Ultimate Psionics) but would like their weapon to be a spiked chain with the intent of taking the spiked chain feat chain.
the rules are slightly ambiguous with how the mind blade is treated for weapon related feats, what are your thoughts?
would it be game breaking or OP to allow the player this option?

I looked for this on the Third Party thread, but couldn't find it, so hopefully you'll see this post.
I don't think it would be game breaking, as long as the player adheres to the basic rules of mind blades and damage types and the Shape Mind Blade ability. Although they refer to the weapon as a blade throughout the class description it also seems vague enough that a spiked chain would be fine and that its feats would be able to be chosen by the player.
