BUMP?

Loads of defence, but what is it you were planning to do by way of offence? 4th level spells and summon monster V (with no summoning feats) aren't going to cut it on their own at level 13, unless there's a trick I'm missing somewhere.

The party will have a Human Cleric, Human Barbarian/Fighter, Human Alchemist/Rogue, Aasimar Sorcerer/Paladin/Dragon Disciple, and whatever character I bring in.

Figuring out what extra offense I can add is part of what I'm looking to fill in with my leftover resources. I figure this character will be a primary buffer/support character. The character can't use the Lay on Hands on himself, so there's a bunch of healing for the other party members. Summon Monster can't be used while the Eidolon is active, but it can be spent in case of dismissal attempts to keep the Eidolon active. I can take ALL of the night time guard duties and let the casters rest. By the time we reach the BBEG, I'll be able to give all allies within 10ft a +9 shield bonus and cut all their damage in half, plus some cover from my shield.

Do you think expendables would be a worthy investment or should I go more in favor of constant bonuses?

I think with >90% of your budget spent consumables are about the only thing that could make a significant difference.

One that is likely to matter is a fortifying stone to apply to your shield. When you use it for total cover it can get damaged & this may make the difference between losing your expensive shield and not.

A couple of expensive spell scrolls of 5th-6th level summoner spells could help in the event that you do want to do something yourself rather than act as support to others. Maze, the higher level summon monster spells, wreath of blades or the specialised summoning spells at those levels could be worthwhile.

A +1 metamagic rod might be useful too. Most of your spells are 3rd level or less. Intensified to go with blasts, rime for cold spells, selective to go with area spells, extend for buffs or piercing for debuffs.

What about spell choices?

3rd level spells are the most in demand - they're the highest level a lesser metamagic rod can affect and there's a lot of good 3rd level summoner spells anyway. Where you could take a spell at various spell levels try to avoid taking it as a 3rd level spell.

You're definitely going to want a rejuvenate eidolon spell, an evolution surge spell, some sort of invisibility and a form of protection from evil among those spells available at multiple levels. Dimension door, dispel magic, haste, heroism, identify, mending and see invisibility and/or glitterdust are spells you very likely want too.

Others worth considering are the wall spells, slow, black tentacles, snowball, wind wall and teleport.

You might want a summoning spell or two since you won't usually be able to use the summon monster SLA.

Once you've sorted out which of those you want/can get, fill out your list with anything else that catches your eye.
