The figures and comics are now available and yet my order has not shipped? Why is this?

I was coming in to see when they were due to ship myself.

Customer Service Representative

Hi Adenai,

Where are you seeing that they are available?

We're waiting on word from the manufacturers of the comics and minis on when the items are expected to arrive at our warehouse for fulfillment.

I had physical copy of the worldscape comics in my hand at a local convention over the weekend and they were selling the minis at garycon

Hi Adenai,

Thank you for letting us know! We will do a bit of investigating and see what we can find out for you.

Alright, I just heard back and it sounds like some of our executives are having a meeting with Ninja Division this week at the GAMA Trade Show, so we should have a public update on production of the miniatures when they get back in the office next week. Hope this helps!

Many of the miniatures were available before
the bundle went up.

I came here looking for info on this also. Would probably be a good idea to email the customers that purchased the bundle and let them know what is going on.
I'm fine waiting as long as the items in question get to me before I see them in my FLGS or online somewhere.
That would be like backing a Kickstarter and the item hitting store shelves before it gets to backers. We all know how well that works out in the short term and in the long run.
Still really happy with the digital content I received, and looking forward to getting the rest! :)

I'm glad to have had such a quick response from the customer service team but if ninja division are having this much trouble getting a line of 4 miniatures out then it does not bode well for the Star Finder miniature kickstarter at all

I came looking for status too. I am disappointed there has been no communication.

I just came looking as well. It’s been so long. An email with a status update would be really helpful.

So what happened? GAMA ended the 16th?

One of the things that's 'annoying' is that Sodapop did a Black Firday Pathfinder Bundle. https://sodapopminiatures.com/index.php/news/black-friday-2017.html

Any info on the state of this? Would like to here what came from you guys meeting with SodaPop minis. Thanks! :)

Hi, everybody! I wanted to check in here with a quick update on the Worldscape Humble Bundle, and where we're at with delivery.

For starters, the four comics: Pathfinder Worldscape: Vampirella, Dejah Thoris, Re-Animator, and Swords of Sorrow, are completely finished and arrived at Paizo's warehouse last week. I'd be very surprised if the Worldscape comics that Adenai mentioned holding in hand were THESE Worldscape comics, since to my knowledge the only place these things exist in physical form are in the Paizo warehouse.

We have published a six-issue Pathfinder Worldscape series (the one that kicked off the whole idea) AND a previous set of four Pathfinder Worldscape One-Shots associated with a previous Humble Bundle (Tarzan, Warlord of Mars, Red Sonja, and Pathfinder Goblins), so there are at least 10 issues of "Pathfinder Worldscape" comics that Adenai may have had in hand, so I strongly suspect there's a bit of confusion here, since there shouldn't be any other way anyone can get these yet. Please, Adenai, let me know if in fact you somehow found copies of the new set in the wild.

We're currently waiting on Ninja Division, who is in production on the figures now. Orders for these guys exceeded ND's ability to produce with their normal supplier, so they had to find someone else to get them done. I am told to expect an exact delivery date from them on Tuesday of next week, and I will share it here with you guys once they have shared it with me. Apologies for the delay. This came as much of a surprise to us as it did to you, and we're working with Ninja Division to clear these minis as rapidly as possible.

I expect to get these figures relatively soon, in which case the plan will continue to be to hold the comics until the figures arrive, and send them together as soon as possible. Again, I'll let you guys know what's up as soon as I have the exact date myself, which should come next week.

As for someone already having the minis--that's certainly possible. Ninja Division did a small run for sale at Gen Con and through their website in August of last year, so there are probably about 100 of each figure floating around in the wild from this original production run. I suspect that the Black Friday bundle mentioned above was them burning off the 10s of copies they had left of the four models, far short of the thousands needed to fulfill this Humble Bundle effort.

I should note that the Humble Bundle comes with a FIFTH bonus figure of the Starfinder Envoy Navasi, which has never been released anywhere.

Thanks again for your patience with these. As the author of three of the four comics, I'm super eager to get these out to people so you can read them and let me know what you think. I'm also excited about the quality of the Worldscape figures, and hope that you agree they are awesome when you get them.

I'll be better able to tell you when that is next week.

Thanks.

Ah yes it was the older worldscape comics with Tarzan and red Sonja I was under the impression that they were the ones in the kickstarter given that those characters were the minis.

Thank you for the update! I assume the quality control on the miniatures will be up to par with using a new producer?
Looking forward to getting the comics and the minis!

Folks,

We received word from Ninja Division regarding their expected delivery of the minis yesterday, as they had promised us.

Speaking candidly, that day is later than we were anticipating, so I need a little more time to discuss next steps internally before I can provide a proper estimate on when we're going to be able to get this stuff to you.

I'll be back with a more formal update in the next few days. Until then, thank you for your continued patience on this issue.

Thanks, Erik.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Looking forward to hearing the update. I would be worried if I backed the Starfinder miniatures though. Soda Pop has known for months what the actual demand would be so moving this slowly in this day and era does not seem a good sign. I backed the original Relic Knights and that was a disaster. Others can tell you about the current debacle with Robotech.

Hopefully this isn't such a case and is merely a short pause.

Any update on this?

Yeah, especially since they said a few more days but it has been two weeks and still no word.

Hey, guys. Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, but solving this mess has involved multiple teams, including some reprogramming to get everything working as it should.

I'm still waiting on one piece of information that I expect to get tomorrow, and should have a formal update with expected shipping dates very shortly thereafter.

The upshot is that we're working on a way to ship the comics more or less immediately and get you the late minis as soon as possible after that in a second shipment, but we need to plug a couple of holes in the programming code to make sure that we do all of this without stepping over the shipping estimates we provided at the outset.

So, expect to hear from us again here very soon with what I expect will be the final word on how this will all go down.

Thanks for your continued patience. This certainly has not gone the way I anticipated it would. :/

Thanks, Erik.

From this side of the screen it all seems so much easier. :)

No one could have predicted ND minis would ship late... except for literally everyone who had dealt with them in the past.

I wager Paizo is about to learn a very harsh lesson by teaming up with them for the Star Finder mini kickstarter

Hey, guys. Apologies for the lack of an update last week. We had a key person out every day, and have only just gotten him back so we can verify the solution.

We're going to run that solution by our customer service team tomorrow morning to make sure we've got out heads on straight, and you should expect a full update Wednesday afternoon.

The upshot is that we're going to break the comics and the minis into two different shipments, with the comics coming very very soon and the minis coming as soon as possible, after they have been delivered to us by Ninja Division.

Dynamite has printed the comics and they're in our warehouse ready to be shipped. After unanticipated production delays, Ninja Division is now telling us to expect the minis from them in July. As you might imagine, we're not especially thrilled with that, and don't feel that we should be holding onto people's comics--which are ready--to get them to you at the same time as the minis, which aren't. So we're going to fulfill the comics ASAP and send the minis later.

Doing this has involved a lot of coordination between different teams here at Paizo, but I'm pretty sure we have figured out how to pull it off. I'll get back to you guys Wednesday afternoon with what I hope (and expect) will be a full update.

Thank you for your patience.

Erik, it'a s little off-topic but since you're poking your head in here...Are these delays related at all to the prepainted Starfinder minis (both heroes and starships) we were expecting from Ninja Division?

They were initially supposed to come out prior to the unpainted minis from the kickstarter (which are apparently shipping in late May) but they seem to just be stuck in preorder with no news one way or the other.

I've contacted Ninja Division, but they don't answer emails. If you could shed any light, I'd appreciate it (I understand if it's a completely separate issue and nothing to do with the humble bundle ones).

No. Not related.

We've got a meeting with ND here in the Paizo offices tomorrow (Thursday), and my understanding is that we'll be reviewing production samples of the prepainted figures for final approval/tweaks.

So while things are not moving as rapidly as we would have liked, they are at least moving.

I'll try to get info on expected release date and will post it here after the meeting.

PATHFINDER WORLDSCAPE HUMBLE BUNDLE COMICS & MINIS UPDATE

Thank you for your continuing patience regarding the Pathfinder Worldscape comics and minis for our recent Humble Bundle. As mentioned upthread, our miniatures production partner Ninja Division had to scramble to find a production facility capable of outputting the large number of figures ordered for this bundle, which has resulted in an unfortunate delay.

They are telling us to expect the miniatures in the Paizo warehouse at the end of July 2018, a significant delay from their initial estimates of a Q1 2018 delivery. While we are upset and frustrated by the delay, I have reason to believe that this estimate is solid, and we are continuing to check in with Ninja Division on a regular basis to ensure that this revised deadline is met.

However, we do not feel that a delay in the miniatures is worth holding the comics for several more months, as Dynamite created the comics on schedule and delivered them to our warehouse about a month ago. They are, quite literally, ready to go.

So we're sending them out to you ASAP.

We intend to fulfill the Humble Bundle comics (Pathfinder Worldscape: Re-Animator, Dejah Thoris, Vampirella, and Swords of Sorrow) with our MAY subscription run, which means they will begin to leave the Paizo warehouse the second week of May. Prior to this shipment, you will receive an email from Paizo customer service with additional details regarding this shipment.

We will ship the miniatures to customers who have redeemed their Humble Bundle code shortly after we receive them, most likely in August 2018.

Because we are certain you are as disappointed in this delay as we are, we have also decided to ship this second shipment at no shipping cost to you--we will take care of the shipping cost of the miniatures to you, and we will calculate final shipping costs for the comics on the weight of the comics alone. This should result in savings for everyone, and is offered in gratitude for your patience with the delay of the entire package.

As I mentioned, the email from customer service prior to the May shipment will contain additional details. We will try to answer any additional questions regarding this project here on this thread.

Thanks again for your patience.

Cheers. I'm not too stressed on the holdup, I just wanted confirmation it was a delay, not a cancellation.

By the way, Ninja Division was in the office today and they confirmed that the Worldscape minis are on the (revised) schedule. They also showed off the Starfinder prepaints, which frankly staggered me with their quality. I'm very very impressed with the quality overall, from the "mix" of plastic to the quality of the paint jobs.

The current expected release date is lateish July, certainly in time for Gen Con. While I think it'd be cliche to say "it will be worth the wait," but I can say that delays aside, the quality of these miniatures is pretty staggering.

Thanks, Erik. I’m afraid I’m at the stage of thinking “they better be”. I’m not enjoying dealing with ND, to be frank.

I really appreciate these kinds of updates from Paizo though - I don’t need certainty, it’s just nice to know things are moving behind the scenes.

You can pre-order all four of the comics in this wave on Comixology to get them immediately on May 23. Humble Bundle customers should get their physical copies prior to this point, but as with anything involving shipping, there may be some delays.

So what about the Starfinder Prepainted minis?

See Erik's update on those upthread. Those are unrelated to the Humble Bundle beyond being produced by Ninja Division, however, so best to take that conversation to another thread.
