So I keep hearing that a lot of people are kind of bummed out at the limited spellcasting in Starfinder.
What if Paizo released an "Epic Starfinder" sourcebook that added another 20 levels, Starkiller level weapons, and 7-9th level spells? Would that help?
Does anybody think an optional resource like that would have the potential to be really cool?

Yes, eventually.
I'm not sure adding more levels is the way to go, but something like the mythic rules (with significant adjustments, obviously) would be cool.
My thoughts exactly. There is an interest in higher-powered play, but I don't think that's a major demographic within current or potential Starfinder playerbase (just a guess, honestly; I could be wrong). I can see a Mythic-like volume as the sixth or eighth hardcover, perhaps in a few years. There's plenty of lower-hanging fruit for them to write and publish first, if Pathfinder's history is anything to go off of.

we do not need a gurren gurren laggan right now.
there's TONS of stuff in the core rulebook and the alien archive. if you've really chewed up all that stuff, then get a homebrewin.

I wouldn't mind seeing Epic rules eventually, but this is way too soon. And hopefully, they'd be a *major* revamp from the Pathfinder mythic rules, which were too complicated for ready use, and too dependent on resources. At least IMO, epic characters should not have to constantly burn resources to be epic.
None of this having anything to do with 7th-9th level spells, of course.
