One of the players in my Society game today asked (because much of the equipment in AA was cleared for Society play) if he could use the stats from the Crest-Eater bone cestus. The hammerfist lets him treat his unarmed attacks as if he had a battleglove his level or lower. He is second level and the bone cestus has a second level version. It does a d6 rather than the d4 gloves in the core book.
So three questions:
1. Our reading that he can do that, is it correct?
2. Does he also get the bleed damage critical effect that the bone cestus has?
3. Does hammerfist allow him to use weapon seals on his unarmed attacks that mimic battle gloves?

My reading is:
1. No, Battle Gloves are a specific set of weapons in the CRB(so far), other things, like the Bone Cestuses are gauntlets but they aren't battle gloves, sadly.
A bone cestus is not a cestus battleglove anymore than a tactical knife is a dueling sword because there's also a tactical dueling sword.
2. N/A
3. This one is interesting, there doesn't actually seem to be anything preventing weapon fusions from being applied to unarmed strikes as they are listed as a weapon on Table 7-1 on p171. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it seems to work.

Thanks to both of you for the clarification.
To be honest, it seemed wrong to me but I couldn’t find any rationale in the rules as to why. The dueling sword comparison makes sense.
And I had the same thought on the weapon seals. Seemed goofy but not only was unarmed listed as a weapon (like Shaudius said) but also seemed limiting to not allow them for a character who just wants to punch things.

Actually, I changed my mind you can't weapon fusion unarmed strikes because they don't have a listed level so there's no way to apply something that costs levels to them.

I believe it would be treated as same level or lower since there is a gap between level 1 and 10 that battlegloves don't cover.
This is assuming Unarmed strikes count as weapons.
Well hammerfist is treated as being the same level as the character, so I would say it could use weapon fusions.
