So I'm running a Viking themed campaign, and my player want to take a stab at the noble Scandinavian tradition of raiding foreign lands, looting their settlements, and stealing their people to farm their iron and mine their crops, but mostly the looting part.
I tried looking through the rules for an established method for raiding, or looting settlements in general, or even just besieging them, and I found it weird that there isn't any official rules for it. Seems odd to me due to all the rules for kingdom building and mass combat (though nothing for war).
So what I want to do is reward the Vikings based on the stats of the settlement, but I'm not 100% on how to do it. I was origionally planning on giving them BP (or maybe even Plunder, from Skulls and Shackles so i can limit their liquidity and Fame) based off the Economy modifier of the settlement, but then I realized small settlement can very easily have a negative modifier.
Basically what im looking for is any advice or tips the public might have, especially if you've run this sort of thing before (unfortunately it seems no poster on this forum has wanted to loot a settlement before).

The factors to consider probably include:
The size of the settlement
The size of the attacking force
The thoroughness of the raid
The raid's destructiveness
The amount of available wealth
The level of resistance
A more thorough raid will take exponentially longer and have diminishing returns but does increase the chance of finding a well hidden item.
The raiding party will be split between raiding and fighting defenders, so the actual raiding party will only be a fraction of the total attacking force
A settlement's value is split between items that can be carried away and other infrastructure. The raiding party can only take away items but could choose to do damage as well. Doing excessive damage reduces the amount of wealth that can be plundered
At a mass combat level you may want to look at something along the lines of:
Resolve the initial pre-raid combat if any
Calculate the planned raid duration
Resolve the during raid combat and make a note of the time taken if the raid is won, then the raid time = the required time
Calculate the amount of loot taken and damage done
Thoroughness and Destructiveness could both be on a 1 to 4 scale
Available Wealth could be the same or some multiplier of the Purchase Limit for the settlement
A formula along the lines of (Settlement Size/Raiding Party Size) * Thoroughness^2 might give you the length of time required to raid the entire settlement.
(Raid Combat Time/Required Raid Time) * (Thoroughness + Destructiveness *10) = Total Wealth taken or destroyed %
Available Wealth * (Thoroughness/Destructiveness) * 10% = Amount Taken
Major Items found could be one roll per level of thoroughness for a magic item or piece of jewellery etc.
The remainder of the total wealth taken or destroyed could be converted to BP and used to remove buildings from the settlement.
