The warrior-scholar left a profound impact on the planes through his books, the Book of the Damned and the Chronicles of the Righteous. His efforts got him barred from heaven, and the books have scattered themselves all over the planes for many of the most powerful beings to read.
So is it possible for Tabris to have worshippers? Would he even have divine powers to grant them? Who- or what- would worship him and why?

James has mentioned in another thread that Tabris is a unique angel but not an (ex-)Empyreal Lord.
While people could certainly worship him as some sort of prophet of "truth," I don't think Tabris can grant spells of any sort, and I'm pretty sure he has no interest in worshipers. Worshiping Tabris is about as useful as worshiping the Books themselves.
Of course, oracles don't necessarily get their spells from the object of their devotion...

While I'd imagine he COULD have worshipers, he doesn't really have any divine powers to grant them, as far as I know. It's not mentioned anywhere that he has that kind of power.
Though having some sort of Tabris-worshiping scholar would definitely make an interesting character concept. Especially if they did end up getting divine powers...somehow...from somewhere...
Yeah, oracles would make a good fit, as would more studious types of bards. Basically any scholarly type of character could work, especially if the knowledge they're interested in is more of the forbidden variety.

You can worship him if you really want to, but you're not going to get any spells or anything out of it, and he's not really going to pay attention to you because he's kind of broken and doesn't think anything matters anymore, IIRC.

The Esoteric Order of the Palatine Eye.
Basically it's a secret fraternity type organization like the Masons or Illuminati that has Tabris and some of his writings as the foundation.
Well, yes, but at no point is it ever said that they actually worship him. At most, they view him as a brilliant mentor figure, and perhaps (though it's unlikely) a role model.
