I make a lot of characters just for fun in my free time, many of which never get to see the light of day. Therefore, I decided to make this thread as a place where people can see all of my concepts, all of my builds, in one place.
Please feel free to use the following characters in your home games in whatever manner you wish (but please don't use them elsewhere, such as in a novel or as part of your personal product line). All of my creations exclusively use Paizo's Starfinder campaign setting rules and assume a 10-point buy, as outlined in the Starfinder Core Rulebook. They otherwise follow all of the standard rules of the game as I interpret them. None of these characters use any intentional house rules, though as with any complex game, please expect, and allow for, some leeway for interpretive differences of the rules (for example, I have no problem with completely changing the description of a given game element to better match my concept). Therefore, please be sure to check with your GM before using any new character or concept from my Emporium. Also, please feel free to change the characters to better suit your use.
And one last thing. "Character Emporium" is something of a misnomer as I shall be including things other than player character concepts here (such as NPCs, starships, homebrew monsters and items, etc.). Nevertheless it is named such due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of my work are in fact player character concepts.
So, without further ado, please take a gander at my marvelous creations, leave comments, critiques, and corrections in the little white box near the entrance marked "reply." If you like what you see, please also hit the "Like" button of this post before you leave.
- Apsalus III, highly secretive anti-pirate weapon - medium transport (tier 12)
- Darrow, former leader of the Pod Babies biker gang - CG male personality android operative 6 (spacefarer theme, daredevil operative specialization)
- The Headless Corpseman, android revolutionary - CE sexless android envoy 12 (outlaw theme)
- Mad Snack Rattigan, vesk adopted ysoki mercenary - LG male ysoki soldier 10 (mercenary theme, blitz fighting style)
- Setsuna Blaine, former contender for shock boxing champion - CN male human mechanic 8/soldier 1 (icon theme, exocortex artificial intelligence)
- Skai Lorian, young physicist and inventor of war machines - NG female human soldier 11 (scholar theme, sniper fighting style)
I'm afraid that's all I've been able to upload today, but don't fret! This is only a fraction of those to come, so please check back often! I will be posting individual links for each character throughout the thread, and you can view all of my creations in one place using the links provided below:
- Starfinder Character Gallery
- Other Starfinder Content
- Pathfinder Character Gallery (and comment thread)
Please also feel free to post your own characters and ideas here, in full or in part, if you wish!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy them!
As an aside, I may not be able to post over the next few days. As a lifelong Florida resident, I am in the direct path of Hurricane Irma and so may be without power for a while. On the off chance that you never hear back from me again, it's probably because I'm dead.
If that happens, I will be counting on you guys, the community, to keep these threads going as long as you can with your own creations. :D

NEW CHARACTER!
Char, psychotic unfeeling assassin - CE male half-elf solarian 8 (armor solar manifestation)
Meant to be played like a horrifying Starfinder version of Jason Voorhees, Char is a psychotic assassin and follower of Zon-Kuthon who has mutilated his own body to such an extent that he is now just as unfeeling on the outside as he is on the inside. His toughened shell of scarred flesh allows him to withstand glancing shots from many different energy weapons while he stalks his terrified victims through the night.
He innately possesses electricity resistance, and can get both fire resistance and cold resistance from his class abilities, allowing him to essentially ignore any low-level cryo weapons, flame weapons, laser weapons, plasma weapons, and shock weapons used against him. He can also acquire low-level DR through his class abilities, allowing him to somewhat withstand kinetic attacks. Combined with his high stamina and hit points, and his ability to quickly heal and recover, Char is truly the midnight terror that never seems to stop coming.
Xenocrat |
Well, I'm not dead, and power seems to have returned to my humble abode. :D
No thoughts yet on the new assassin? I must confess I'm a little crushed.
I found his Constitution focus at the expense of damage dealing interesting if suboptimal. I'm sure a Mystic would love to enslave him as a bodyguard.
Zon Kuthon will presumably not look with total favor on his CE follower. He might even hurt him a bit in the after life!
Ravingdork |
Zon-Kuthon isn't CE?
EDIT: Huh. Guess not. That surprises me. He seems like such a nutcase.
Oh well, easy fix. LE lends itself better to being a professional assassin anyways.
I'm not too worried about the damage frankly. Solarian is one of the highest damaging classes in the game I hear. It's about what, 2 points of accuracy or so off a typical solarian build? That's not exactly terrible you know. He also has several other ways of damaging foes too, such as burning attackers with corona or an occasional blast from supernova.
And he can always make up for it with his level 10 boosts as well. My original build had 18 Strength, but then I realized he gets his second boost at 10th, not 8th like in Pathfinder. Had to bring it back down by a fair bit.

From what I've seen of Starfinder, you just wing the numbers based on the party level.
Which I hate. I'm a firm believer that PCs should be able to accomplish anything NPCs can do given the same background and resources.

This isn't quite true. They're based on CR, but templates for things like Class and Race also clearly exist. I'd imagine that PCs can indeed accomplish anything an NPC of their race and class can, the math will just be a bit different.

NEW CHARACTER!
Chistori Hammertail; former fighting slave, martial arts grand master, and Veskarium war hero - LG female vesk soldier 18 (icon theme, arcane assailant fighting style)
Need someone to train your adventurers how to fight? Take a look at Chistori Hammertail; former fighting slave, grand master of numerous Vesk martial arts, and war hero of the Veskarium. Long since retired, she now rests atop a mysterious mountain on an unknown world full of terrible hazards. Does your party have sack enough to seek her out, brave the perils of her home, and survive her extreme training regimen?
This character's bio was deliberately kept short and somewhat vague, so as to better enhance the element of mystery about her. Please take the handful of story crumbs I've provided, and expand upon them in your games in whatever manner you like. (Who are the Weeping Sun slavers and the Allmother? Where are the Chain Islands, and what else might be found upon them? Who was Chistori's lover and what happened to her? What manner of strange beasts has Chistori fought? How exactly did she serve her people? Etc.)
“Fifty scars have I received since the Weeping Sun slavers came from the stars to take my family to the Chain Islands.
Seven scars from others of my kind when they placed me in The Pit, where I was trained.
One from my mother.
Five from the talons of the monster who guarded against my escape.
Six from the woman who taught me to love.
One from my first master.
Fifteen from men and beasts I fought in an arena for the pleasure of the Allmother and her guests.
Five more I traded for my freedom.
And nine I earned in service to my people.”

Nosskimanus Sunborn, Veskarium demolisher and escaped amnesiac - N male vesk soldier 7 (mercenary theme, armor storm fighting style)
A half-insane mercenary with a penchant for "over doing it," Nossk is one of the few lucky enough to survive the wrath of of the monster, Char. Left traumatized by the encounter, he now seeks to once again find his place in the world while picking up the pieces of his shattered soul.
Nossk prefers close quarters fighting with devastating weapons, such as his flamethrower or chainsaw, relying on his familial powered armor to protect him all the while.

Another great character. One minor thing that lept out - Char Sheet says female. Backstory says He / male references.....
Ravingdork |
Sorry about that. When making a new character, I usually load up a similar character, then start making changes to it in order to build the new one. Sometimes, pieces of the previous character sheet fall through the cracks. Nossk is supposed to be male.
I've fixed it now. Thanks for pointing it out. Also made some minor additions to his background and armor description.

NEW CHARACTER!
Polyras Gharlaan, wandering space wizard - NG male human mystic 13 of Ibra (spacefarer theme, star shaman connection)
An accomplished astronomer and scientist from the Ring of Nations on Verces, Polyras Gharlaan (pronounced "poh'leer'uhs gahr'leyn") is a tortured soul accused of xenophobia who mistakenly believes himself to have been responsible for the genocide of the shirren city of Takoris (where the iconic shirren mystic, Keskodai, got his start). Consumed by guilt and fear, he has exiled himself to the life of a wandering scholar of the stars, seeking answers and salvation by burying himself in his scientific studies and the teachings of the inscrutable Ibra.
In terms of mechanics and playability, I designed him with the concepts of a "scholarly Jedi in exile" and "benevolent wandering samurai seeking atonement" in mind: he possesses a hidden past, is able to sense unseen threats, sword fight effectively, deflect ranged attacks, make great leaps, use strange powers, and generally contribute effectively in any number of situations.
Let me know what you think!
Ravingdork |
Man, that Mystic seems like a pretty decent combatant
his AC is pretty good as well
You think so? He's a good 4 points behind on the to-hit of an equivalent soldier or solarian, and does less damage due to the lack of offensive class abilities.
His AC keeps up fairly well though since he invested in the feats and gear to do it, and he can replenish his hit points and other resources with his spells, potentially giving him more longevity than your typical soldier or solarian (though he has a few less hit points to start than they might).

NEW CHARACTER!
Madame Karina, corporate spy and criminal mastermind - N female venerable human operative 15 (outlaw theme, spy operative specialization)
After realizing that there were no modifiers for aging in Starfinder, I decided to make a character who was a complete badass, despite their advanced age. This is the culmination of that endeavor. I hope you all enjoy it.
Many thanks to Voss, The Mighty Khan, Cathulhu, and others, who advised me in this thread on how I might best accomplish this task.

This one is probably my favorite. Ms. Marple meets Jason Bourne, ha! Tons of rp potential. Could be fun to have one of the PCs end up being one of her presumed dead children.

I'm glad you like it! She's my favorite Starfinder character as well!
She was certainly the most difficult Starfinder character to write about! There's just so much potential depth and history to an older character than there is with a young one. I wanted to make sure that was well represented in her backstory.
I put a lot more thought into this one than I normally do. For example, I deliberately didn't give her birth name, the name of the crime family that murdered her entire family, or the names of any of the members of her family. I felt their omission might enhance the sense that those people are all dead, wiped out of history through violence. I also didn't go into much detail about how she accomplished certain feats, figuring such things are better left up to the imagination.
She's come a long ways to be where she is and I really endeavored to reflect that well.
I certainly hope I did it justice.
I think, now, I would also like to thank the writers of the Starfinder Core Rulebook for creating such an engrossing setting with so much worthwhile content that I could even begin to write up a character with this level of depth to it.
Thank you so, so much Alexander Augunas, Judy Bauer, Logan Bonner, Jason Bulmahn, John Compton, Adam Daigle, Crystal Frasier, Lissa Guillet, Amanda Hamon Kunz, Thurston Hillman, Jason Keeley, Robert G. McCreary, Erik Mona, Mark Moreland, Jessica Price, Stephen Radney-MacFarland, F. Wesley Schneider, Amber E. Scott, Mark Seifter, Owen K.C. Stephens, James L. Sutter, and Josh Vogt. All of your hard work has filled my days with many a happy hour!

Shouldn't his unarmed strikes be doing 1d4+15 damage? 4 Strength, 2 Melee Striker, 2 Hammer Fist (because of Melee Striker), and 7 Weapon Specialization.
Using Vesk Natural Weapons, he'd be doing more static damage (1d3+16 due to the special Weapon Specialization adding 3 instead of Hammer Fist's 2), but his dice damage would never scale.
Ravingdork |
Wouldn't the "These unarmed attacks don’t benefit from other abilities that apply specifically to unarmed attacks (such as the Improved Unarmed Strike feat)" text of Hammer Fist preclude Weapon Specialization though?
EDIT: Hm, guess that's only for things apply specifially to unarmed strikes, whereas weapon specialization in this case applies to basic melee weapons in general. I guess it does work.
Thanks! I've re-adjusted his damage.

NEW CHARACTER!
Eibon the Ruthless (aka the Heart Collector) - CE male human mystic 16 (scholar theme, mindbreaker connection)
My first ever Pathfinder import. Turned out surprisingly well all things considered. Here's the original if you're interested.
In brief, Eibon is an immortal wizard from before the Gap. His obsessive need for knowledge and power marks him as mad. Based loosely on DC's Vandal Savage super villain, Eibon seeks the secrets to deific ascension at all costs.
Ravingdork |
Another awesome character. Given his desire for knowledge, I thought he would have more languages known. (he gets an additional one for each rank in culture)
Sorry, I almost overlooked your post.
Yes, Polyras should have over a dozen more Languages, and I have now added them. Thank you for your diligence.

Nyanta Felinoid, Golden League cat burglar - CN male summerborn ryphorian operative 5 (outlaw theme, thief specialization)
Exceptionally good at getting in and out of places, Nyanta prowls city rooftops at night, looking for the carelessly wealthy elite and other big scores. He also works as a thief and smuggler for hire, working on behalf of the Golden League and their interests.
Nyanta Felinoid is the first character in the gallery to feature one of the new races from the Alien Archive. I expect there will be several more new characters in the near future featuring such strange alien races. ;D

NEW CHARACTER!
Dr. Zachary Smith; esteemed philanthropist, psychologist, and environmentalist - LE male formian envoy 14 (scholar theme)
Inspired by Plato's The Republic, in which the question, "Why should men choose to be just rather than unjust?" was posed to the great philosopher, Socrates--as well as by the villain of the same name from the 1965 show and 1998 film, Lost in Space.
Dr. Smith espouses the idea of the wolf in sheep's clothing; outwardly just to the public, he is secretly unjust as a means of getting his way, making him far more dangerous to society than typical criminals who operate more or less out in the open.

Bartholomew (aka Bart), disgruntled hacktivist - N barathu technomancer 4 (themeless)
Bart's passionate drive to "save the space whales" has landed him in with a very bad crowd, and the decision he makes next may well determine the direction of the rest of his life. His future, and perhaps the future of many others, stands upon a deadly precipice.

Character Update!
Nosskimanus Sunborn, Veskarium demolisher and escaped amnesiac, has received an upgrade thanks to new tech and class options released in Dark Suns #2.
His flamethrower has been replaced with a liquidator disintegrator cannon*, a fearsome heavy weapon that not only better matches his chaotic personality, but frees up enough of his wealth to get the following as well: armorcrafter kit, gill sheathe, ring of fangs*, synergizing symbiote (Dexterity Mk II), and wyrmling dragon gland. His fanglblade and armor's autoloader has been replaced by a fangblade armor spikes upgrade*.
His ranged attacks are now more accurate, his melee attacks more damaging, and he now has a nice 1/battle area attack that doesn't care what his foe's EAC/KAC are.
He also now has Caustic Burns* gear boost rather than the Brutal Blast gear boost.
I rearranged his ability scores, lowering his Strength from 16 to 14, and increasing his Constitution from 14 to 16, since he relies on Powered Armor for his Strength anyways.
Finally, his background was tweaked slightly to better suit these changes.
All in all, he's a bit more efficient, interesting, and versatile than before.
Ravingdork |
Character Updates
Char, psychotic unfeeling assassin, has been revamped with different ability scores and equipment. His Charisma score has been raised, and his Constitution lowered. Though I wanted him to have a sense of extreme durability I feel that his new ability score array maintains that feeling, while not hindering many of his primary solarian abilities.
Rather than a radiation buffer armor upgrade, I've given him the grim trophies armor upgrade (from Dead Suns #2). I've also added the ominous fusion to his melee weapon. Together, along with his significant Charisma increase, I think these will serve to grant him a much more menacing aura of evil.
It also occurred to me, that he could EASILY be changed to CE, and made into an agent of the Devourer. If you're using him as an NPC villain, this might work better in certain campaigns. Just some food for thought. :)
Setsuna Blaine, former contender for shock boxing champion, has also had some basic equipment changes. He has given up his cestus in exchange for a modified version of a ring of fangs. This increases his unarmed strike damage significantly, while also removing many of the current weaknesses of unarmed strikes (such as archaic).
Setsuna has also picked up a hunting rifle to go with his semi-auto pistol, granting him a little extra range and firepower for when he is unable to close to melee. I would have liked to have given him a starknife (in the form of a throwing knife), to take advantage of his strength, but he doesn't have specialization in it yet, and I didn't want to switch out his feats. So, for now at least, his ranged abilities will remain distinctly secondary to his melee abilities. Feel free to make those changes when using him yourself if you wish.
Ravingdork |
I've also made numerous minor formatting updates to many of the other characters as well.
Where can I get the dark suns stuff?
Have I been saying Dark Suns? Please excuse me! (Stupid autocorrect!)
I meant to say Dead Suns, as in the adventure path modules that Paizo has been releasing for Starfinder.

NEW CHARACTER!
Kargan of Yautja Tribe, poacher - CN shobhad soldier 1 (xenoseeker, hit-and-run fighting style)
Kargan takes immense pride in seeking out and finding extraordinarily rare creatures, clubbing them over the head, then putting them to his knife. Most other poachers don’t care much for Kargan due to his propensity for clearing out an area of all valuable life forms in a blitzkrieg of overkill hunting. Kargan, on the other hand, simply views it as “beating out the competition.”

Hadif Hedessa Bekhzadi Hanpa, warrior in hiding - LG kasatha solarian 3 (priest, weapon solar manifestation)
Attracted to Iomedae’s code of honorable battle from an early age, Hadif has long since become a devout follower and priest of the Goddess of Justice. Much like his patron, Hadif has become a righteous knight, is nearly fearless in battle, and is a missionary and crusader on behalf of the benign sovereignty of good. In hiding from powerful enemies, he discreetly travels the Pact Worlds as a bodyguard-for-hire, hoping to find personal redemption through protecting others, and dreaming of one day being strong enough to bring justice to those who have wronged him.
“I am Hadif, son of Hedessa, descendant of Bekhzadi, and proud disciple of the great warrior, Hanpa. You murdered my mother! Surrender, or prepare to die! In this life or the next, you will be brought to justice!”

NEW CHARACTER!
Cid, corporate overlord - LN android envoy 19 (icon)
Exuding charisma, intellect, and poise, Cid is a strongly practical man and master manipulator with a proclivity for complex, Machiavellian schemes that greatly benefit himself in some way--even when they fail to come to fruition (which in itself is exceedingly rare). He considers petty emotions—such as anger, hate, or revenge—foolish and beneath him; what motivates his various actions, instead, are his practical goals. One of these is to increase his current power and influence, and that of Cid Enterprises. In Cid’s opinion, he acquired Absalom Station long ago. It’s his town. Despite his penchant for increasing his holdings, Cid has no interest in one day taking over the Pact Worlds, for the simple reason that he doesn’t see any need to; he’s been able to accomplish most of his goals under the current system.

Character Update
Char, psychotic unfeeling assassin, has once again had his gear upgraded. Instead of a tactical skyfire sword, he now wields a retractable heavy bone blade that has been grafted into his arm. The leftover credits returned from not buying the skyfire sword also allowed him to pick up several other dangerous (and highly thematic) necrografts from Dead Suns #3 - Splintered Worlds.

CHARACTER UPDATES! PACT WORLDS SNEAK PEAK!
Who is up for a sneak peak at some of the new Pact Worlds book content? Look no further! Today we have several new character updates, many of which incorporate some of the new rules therein!
Char - He is now a merciless undead borais, rather than just a traditional half-elf! He also has one of the new armor upgrades!
Cid - Now a corporate agent, rather than an icon. I've also incorporated some new artwork.
Skai Lorian - Now a roboticist, rather than a scholar. Also incorporated is some of the book's new gear and some new artwork!
Zachary Smith, Dr. - Now a biotechnician, rather than a scholar. Also incorporated is a new armor upgrade!
Enjoy!
Be sure to check back frequently! There are always new Starfinder characters just around the corner! In the near future you can expect to see a powerful lashunta priest of the Outer Gods, an excitable alien starfish space explorer with a penchant for saving animals and stealing people's lovers away, a living stalagmite high-flying ace who rolls about on land nearly as fast as it drives its vehicles, and a non-android sentient robot who would like nothing more than to create and raise a family of its own! :D
