I think the summation here is this:

No respondents in this thread seem to think this is a good idea.

You have already decided it is.

It seems clear you cannot be convinced to relent on your desire to change this aspect of the rules.

Rather than harp on how or why we perceive this not to be a good idea, we should simply walk away and not waste time.

I agree with Claxon here.

It sounds like you already adamantly made your decision and that no further discussion can be had.

What you should do is read all what,s written before making any summation, or you will fail in your conclussions again and again, just as you have with this post.

read the comments above, you will find one of mine saying that i will use the NPCs movement and positioning to avoid using the rule, and also to avoid annoying situations.

but hey, you are right in one thing: just a few arguments here sounded good for me. However, thats not wasting time, for me its more like learning from the others points of views.

Even as a joke, it's not cool to call someone "blind" because they disagree with you.

Lol, thats not the reason. You just called me stubborn after i posted an answer where i complete change my mind and i decide that im not using my house rule...thats the reason.

Thanks for ignoring my post. Bye have fun tell your players to message me when they leave your group when they wanna have a reasonable GM

To be fair, that isn't exactly what you said.

HmmmMMMMmmMMMmmMmMmm...Now you are talking ...i didnt count with the capacity of my NPC,s to stay out of formations that añpws characters to abuse the square sistem...

and this is why i love u all, i think i will try to apply this clever moving to NPC,s before applying the rule, and see what happens

Can very well be read as you saying you will still implement your rule, but will do something else first sp the situation would come up less often. As opposed to being read as "My rule was wrong, so I'll do something else entirely instead".

You weren't very clear, so a misunderstanding is understandable.

Except he didn't? He did reply 5 posts later:

First of all, im not ignoring any post, ive read all of them and also ive taken a good bunch of ideas from you all.

however, what you are saying is very interesting. as a proffesional player i ask you: can you do that manouver without aiming, focusing, or waiting for the right moment? and also...can you do that a hundred times in different scenarios without failing any of that hundred shots?

because what you are propposing to me here is that you never fail...

You never replied back.

I apologize than, I missed that. To answer that question you had. Yes I can do it consistently in almost any situation. I do aim but never for more than a split second. And of course I fail, just not very often. Again I do apologize I completely missed your response and I over reacted sorry

Graelsis wrote:
why is so important to me, you ask? because my players use every chance they get to do this.

Yeah, this thread has run its course.

Yeah, this thread has run its course.

Yup, but thank you for your implication anyway!!!

Hey man, thanks for yours apologys. Dont worry about that ok? we all make mistakes and the internet is a very slippery dungeon.

for the rest, thanks for your answer, i think we can now understand each other. that part where u say you can fail? Well thats what i wanted to represent in the game!! because the actual sistem made casters NEVER fail, no matter the situation.

what i dindt know is that u can do that so fast, so i guess i just should think about this in a different way.

@ Graelsis

I'm with you on this one.

I find it ridiculous that wizards have such amazing spatial awareness that they can lob fireballs with infallible accuracy and yet have the worst BAB in the game.

I prefer realistic rule sets like gurps where the concussive force of explosions reduces with distance and there is no clearly defined predetermined safe boundary for explosions. In gurps spellcasters actually have to spend points on spell throwing skill to be accurate and sometimes they miss anyway. I know a lot of people don't like the extra realism because the extra calculations can slow down the game and that is one thing you definitely need to be mindful about: whether your house rules are worth the effort. In my opinion Pathfinder works just fine for high fantasy, where realism is not important. I tend to use gurps for more gritty or historic settings.

Damn, this is all my fault

I,m sorry if i have disturbed someone with my attitude. This is a missunderstanding caused by the language. In spanish, when we say we are going to do something before X what we pretend to say is that we have changed our mind.

actually, i will not aply the idea i had, my perception on the issue has changed a lot, so i will think about this in a different way, one wich allow me to enjoy the game and also give my players an extra

The same goes for me, maybe i dont need that level of realism, i was just looking for a solution to a very specific situation that makes me feel so disturbed.

Thanks to the people of the forum ive found some ideas that will, in my opinion, improve the game and make it just a little bit more realistic so it can fix my expectations.

"wether your house rules are worth the effort" really nice tip, thank you man
