I'm wondering if we can get clarification on exactly which stat throwing weapons and grenades use for their attack rolls and DC's. It says with similar frequency either Strength or Dexterity, with no real indication either way, and this has made these weapons pretty confusing overall.
Also, on top of this, do grenade launchers count as separate weapons from grenades for the purpose of Weapon Specialization? If so, this allows for a soft workaround preventing Weapon Specialization from applying to grenades, and I am wondering if that is intended or not.

That's not a official Paizo answer. We haven't started answering those questions yet.

I saw that and deleted the post while, apparently, you were already replying. Somehow I mixed up the name on top of the post with one displayed next to it.
Incidentally, that was an impressively fast reply.

i would assume as in Pathfinder that a thrown weapon is a dex attack with a strength addition to damage.
i am specifically wondering about delayed grenades? is there going to be a piece of equipment that allows for grenade timers or are we to assume that grenade fuse duration is based on the level of grenade ie. a level 1 grenade can be set to go off on the following round.

Nothing in the grenade rules suggest any sort of timed fusing. They appear to be impact fused. Other than that the rules don't seem to go into a lot of detail.
HOWEVER - There are bits and pieces of grenade stuff scattered among the other rules, like the Detonator rules saying it can be used with Grenades (thus making them command detonated).
In the Pull The Pin feat, it talks about delayed fuses. One wonders if grenades in Starfinder are supposed to have delayed fuses, or if the writer of the feat didn't understand how grenades work in Starfinder.
In other words, Grenades are a mess.

Page 59: "Grenades, missiles, and other consumable weapons never add specialization damage, even when you’re using weapons like a cyberbow or grenade launcher."
Does make me wonder where I can get a cyberbow though. :P
