I'm making a 25 point buy level one LE Tiefling Fiendish Vessel, and I honestly have no idea how to make this thing viable. The DM of whose campaign I'm applying for is using the feat tax adjustment mentioned here, and As a result, I don't know where to take the archetype.
I'd like to design the character around the familiar I'll get at level 3, going umd and what not, but I feel even then, my stats are too MAD to make it work. Also, the channel evil ability you get from fiendish vessel seems a bit lackluster.
Suggestions?

Uh what I did with my fiendish vessel was maybe viable. It wasn't optimal, far from it by this forum's standards I bet, but I found it fun.
Simply put I focused on making it harder to resist the party sorcerer's spells through channeling and spells. I focused on channeling since there were a lot of good aligned enemies and all of my allies were evil. The fighter in my group used dazzling display. Sickened (from my channel) and shaken together resulted in a -4 to all saving throws. The sorcerer cleaned house with AoE spells after the fighter and I finished debuffing.
For single target stuff I combined channel smite with inflict spells.
I went into the Holy Vindicator prestige class later just for fun.
Like I said its probably not optimal, but it was the most fun I've had playing a support-focused character.

Channel Evil is probably comparable to channel negative or positive energy depending on the party/foes you are facing. If it is an evil campaign with all evil PCs and mostly fighting good guys, it is probably an upgrade since you can help your side and hurt the other with a single action. If that isn't the case, it is definitely weaker, and as a result, I probably wouldn't plan on using it much. Selective channel would help a lot of course, but even then unless you have plenty of evil friends or are expecting to fight lots of good foes it isn't going to be a great choice for your standard action most of the time.
If you are expecting your channel to be relatively useless, you probably won't need much CHR, although with 25 PB I don't see how you will have any problems getting this up to ok levels.
I think your main focus needs to be deciding what role you plan on filling in combat. A cleric can fill any role successfully, but how you build is a bit different depending on what you want to focus on.
My usual go-to is a reach cleric support build. Basically you want ok WIS and ok STR, but neither need to be stellar. 16 and 14 is plenty, although more doesn't hurt. Most rounds, you throw a spell (or channel or domain ability) and try and move into a position where the foes will have to take an AoO attack from you if they want to attack you or get to your friends (or at least the squishier friends.) You attacks are just 'bonus' so you don't have to be great at it, but you want to be good enough to be a threat. Two-Handed reach weapon at STR gives you dX+3 damage right off the bat (more with power attack) which is enough to be respectable. Your spells are mostly buffs and heals, so you don't need a super high WIS for saving throws which helps you have plenty of points to be a mid-tier physical combatant.
As far as which 'god' to worship that is heavily driven by what alignment you want, which you haven't mentioned. Mechanically my favorite of your options is Baphomet, but that goes hand in hand with chaotic evil, which often doesn't work well even for an evil party.

If you're going Eiseth then I don't think you can go Fiendish Vessel.
Regardless she's a solid choice.
Max str and wis. Then take channel smite and get guided hand.
You can switch hit well that way while keeping your primary caster stat high.
Guided hand allows you to use your wisdom bonus to hit with your favored weapon. Longbow in this case.
I would take Rage Domain and then Law or Devil.
