Here it is!

.....What is going on!? Have I been employed without knowing? Why Am I Still Working At Amazon Then!?

4/5 ****

No name yet on shifter iconic.

Op news coming next.

Season 9
Yeats of Factions favor.

Taldor vs soverign court.

Libertys edge vs andor.

Who will survive?

War for the crown will integrate with pfs season.

Assault on Absalom is key.

Shivok abandons pfs for Taldor.

4/5 ****

.

The Exchange 3/5

Tonya comes up to talk about Organized Play.

Year of Factions' Favor. Trying to really bring factions to the forefront: wrap up some the loose ends and storylines from the Factions.

For the first time, the storyline will be tied into the AP (the Taldan one).

The Taldan war is coming to the Absalom.

Tonya mentioned that the Adventure Card Guild and the Roleplaying Guild have become tied closer together. Adv Card Guild will also be Faction's Favor, tied similarly. There will be a card game component to the overall storyline.

Starfinder Society is also coming.

I guess the Silver Crusade is feeling good about itself to not quite get involved...

Shadow Lodge 5/5

Blah...

I thought we got away from tying APs to the Society theme. Not at all happy about this...

At least Starfinder plays very well (and having played the demo with Sutter I can confirm this).

4/5 ****

Starfinder Society.

How you as players become members of the society?

Starfinder society has suffered a majot setback. High levels chars gone.

New leadership and pcs help rebuild organization.

First contact reporting to affect setting going forward.

Year of the Scoured Stars

What made everything go wrong?

The Exchange 3/5

John Compton speaks about the Starfinder Society. Thursty is announced as the guy for Starfinder Guild. If you're drinking a home, tip a beer for him. Head of individual scenario development.

In Starfinder Society, you can join multiple factions if you wish. The SFS starts with the SFS suffering a major setback in which most of the higher level Starfinder have been killed and the Org Play campaign will need to rebuild from scratch. The player characters will have a voice in restarting the SFS. Year of the Scoured Stars. How will you rebuild the SFS.

Liberty's Edge 5/5 **

New PFS theme: Year of the Factions' Favor. Taldor vs Soverign Court. Liberty's Edge vs Andoran. Ties in to for War Crown. Begins with Assault on Absalom.

Starfinder Society: Year of the Scoured Stars. Starts with an event that has crippled the Starfinder Society so that low level PCs can feel important. Deal with a first contact situation involving a newly discovered alien race. More information to be expected from the organized play Q&A.

Got in the banquet. Did not know where to sit. Ran into the minesota crew. We are now sitting with cosmo.
Cosmo is awesome. We are teaching them drinking songs. We are also talking shadowrun and stupid desicions.
Food was good. Beer is good.
Mr. Slanky and me are outnerding the rest with molecular biologist talk.

So the announcements have started. Erik Mona is being a total yahoo. Love it.
He's giving honor where honor is due. MrSlanky has teenage pictures of paizo yahoos to show us while the names are called out.

OMG the starfinder core rulebook was just brought in. The delve will have the actual starfinder rules.
We get a quick rundown of the iconics.
Oh, overvieuw page out of the book for race and class. And a sample build page character theme pages (age pilot as example).
A page spread about magic. Yes. Magic missle made it into starfinder.
Space goblins exist.
Pharasma and the boneyard confirmed.
Feats still exist. There will be seven pages about guns.
Holy plasma canons confirmed. Unholy plasma canon confirmed.
There will be a legacy section in the core rulebook how to convert pathfinder stuff to pathfinder.
Space battles. Space ship combat has fives roles, that are not dependend on your class. There will be pregenerated ships in the books.
Pact world system preview. All planets will get a two page spread.
Factions. Hellknights have made it into space.
Nyarlothep is a core god. Oras is a new god about mutation and adaptation
Aspis consortium made it into space.
Azlant is alive and well. In space!

Pathfinder stuff:
Book of the damned preview. Its a reprint of the softcover and out of print books of the damned. But a lot of stuff. Apperantly Orcus will be in it? (The ad&d crowd goes wild)
Ruins of Azlant. Aboleths confirmed.
New adventure path: war for the crown. Taldor is in chaos as the country needs to choose a new rules. Courtly intregue and spying will be a thing.
New hardcover ultimate wilderness. BigNorseWolf will have a field day for this.
Ow a new iconic character! Ultimate wilderness will have a new class: the shifter. It will all be about natural attacks as the shifter can chance parts of their body. BearOwl jokes are made.
Shifters will be to druids as what paladins are to clerics.

Pathfinder society:
Season 9 will be: year of factions favor.
Factions will be front and center.
The new special will be war on absalom. The war in taldor will spill over to absalom. AP influence on PFS season will come back with the War for the Crown AP and season 9.
Card guild will now be the same season as the rolaplaying guild.

Starfinder society:
With the slower rate of bringing out scenarios, the team want to up the reaction rate to reporting conditions. So you will much sooner in the story see the effects of what you did.
Season 1 will be: year of the scoured stars.

No new acg ap to announce.

However...

Acg to give more story. Be less expenaive to own. Going to take time to work and experiment before releasing new set.

Class decks and pacg decks to continue to release though.

2018 gencon earliest possible release for next pacg ap box. Not likely that early though.

2017 Volunteer of the Year: David Jacobson. Venture Officer who works a lot on the ACG. Project Swallowtail?

David gives a brief speech. It's clear how touched he is by the honor.

Vic Wertz to talk about the card game.

There won't be any new ACG products to announce. He explains how they are re-adjusting the card game focus to integrate more story, more immersion...and less expensive to own. They are re-tooling the game and experimenting ways to improve it.

(As you guys know, I love the ACG and this is disappointing news. I know they are working to make it better but yeah...)

They are still releasing some new class desks. August new decks: magus, pathfinder tales deck, hells vengeance (evils iconics).

Next wave: Hells vengeance 2, Hunter, & then 2 Occult Adv class decks.

4/5 ****

Obsidian App acg.

They have been working on PC and mac port.

"Soon"

That rhymes with June...

After that new content.

Rise of the goblins.

5 new goblin scenarios

Inspired by season of the goblins.

All Richard Petts fault.

Ranzak and Poog.

And goblin alt version of iconics and non symetrical goblin dice

Did they at least address the tarrasque in the room about Obsidian game's app?

The Exchange 3/5

Obsidian update: working on PC/Mac port for the ACG game. Potential June (?) release.

Next new content for the computer ACG: Rise of the Goblins. 5 new scenarios inspired by We Be Goblins. 2 playable goblin characters: Ranzak & Poog. New asymmetrical goblin dice.

The PC/OS X game will be on Steam. Single accounts so you can play on PC, Ipad, etc. Will implement the side deck for banishing.

I'm glad to hear that the ACG is going to be revised. I always thought the storyline aspect was a little weak. My 11 year old loves playing but has never felt invested in the story.

I have no idea how you'll achieve this, but I'm extremely glad for the attempt.

The Exchange 3/5

New video of Fantasy Ground's implentation fo the virtual tabletop. (It had loud music and nice visuals.)

Erik mentions LoneWolf (Herolab), HarmonQuest, & Dynamite (comics).

Erik introduces next Mini set: Maze of Death.

Sea Drake is demo'd mini.

Now on the 14th set of Pathfinder Battles Minis.

Maze of Death key monster types: minotaur artillery, Ghul, large blue dragon, mind frond, huge air elemental. Huge water elemental (Erik points out the drowned dudes inside the mini of the elemental).

Promises huge earth & fire elementals in the future.

Thanks! Not to spoil anything at all, but the Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild has taught us a ton about how to deliver story content. We're smart enough to learn from that knowledge.

But yeah, we're still crafting the details, so nothing to say yet. Soon, though.

Never heard of a mind frond. Is it related to cerebral daisies?

Sure! Obviously, this is an iterative process. The computer ACG app I think did a lot to make the game more accessible for us. Still, I'd much rather hold actual cards in my hand than look at a screen. So, good luck :)

Discussed Road Map for completing game. Focusing on tutorials for character creation and the like. How to build cities. How to enchant rings/cloaks, etc.

It's a sandbox game, not a story game. Things that you do in the game stay around...buildings built and destroy stay built/destroyed until they are rebuilt/re destroyed.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker announced. An Icewind Dale/Neverwinter Nights type game with PF content called Kingmaker. Put on by Owlcat Games.

Lisa is really excited about it. (I saw the demo video already. It's nice.) She showed a lot of the concept art. The slurk looked pretty cool.

Sounds like they are really going to incorporate the actual Kingmaker AP storyline into the game. I.e. If you befriend the kobolds or trolls, they will eventually come live in the cities you build. I like that.

New mini line will be maze.of death.
We get a nice preview of a sea drake. Awesome minotaur artillery mini. There is also a look at a Ghul and we will get a large blue dragon. Mindfrond is also looking sweet.
The case incentive for this set will be a hige air elemental lord, and a huge water elemental lord. Damn they look sweet.

Liza talks pathfinder online.
Pathfinder online is now back in paizo hands. Paizo will finish the development.

37games will be making a free digital collectible cardgame based on pathfinder.

Okay, so, recap of my day. After the lovely long chat with Painlord, I had an awesome group of four come play the Mummy's Mask demo. I didn't get your names, but thanks for playing with me! I'm glad you want to buy the game now!

My afternoon slot was Legendary Games' The Thanex Caper, from Legendary Planet. I was at Robert Brookes's table with Naomi, Josh, Joshua, Brian, Tyler, and Eric. It was ridiculously fun. We actually took a group picture after! I don't want to spoil any details for the folks playing tomorrow, but expect a good time. Some of the best non-spoilery quips:

"Are you suggesting raccoons in scuba gear?"
"Why do you need 30 potions of reduce person?" "Tiny dance party."
"Ichthyana Jones"
"What's that spell that can make you forget the last 15 minutes?" "Alcohol!"

For the banquet, I sat with Jessica Price, Thurston Hillman, BJ Hensley, Ron Lundeen, Gary Pepper, Adam Daw, and some guy named Dennis. I continue to be super excited about Starfinder. The cover of Alien Archive has some adorable aliens.

Looking forward to my games tomorrow!

Hanging out during the Trivia Contest (I should have questions later) just because it's fun, goofy, and full or random idiocy laughs.

There are 9 teams participating, including one solo 'team', and 1 team of two. Most of the rest have 7 or 8 working together. John Compton asks the questions while Thursty is just walking around with a drink in hand (which, I know, is redundant for any Thursty description at PaizoCon) taunting people and being a smart ass. Most tables have a Paizo mascot to dissuade cheating encourage fair play.

There will likely be 5 rounds with 5 questions in each round. And probably some tie breakers. Round 1 was 'Paizo Lore'.

Team names include:
Looking for Group
Knight of Thressia
Flumph and the Furious
Taldan Reclamation
Straight out of John Compton

Boston Mafia
Infrared PseudoDragons
Nocticula's Panties
Venture Mommy's Minions

Round 2 category is Pathfinder Rules. Oh man, the 5th question is a doozie. I can't wait to get the real text so I can post it on this thread. It's ridonkulus.

Round 3 category is Pathfinder something something.

Round 4 category is Pathfinder Campaign Setting.

Round 5 category is Pathfinder Iconics/Characters.

If you only do one thing at PaizoCon, do this: come to the trivia contest and hang out and laugh and participate. It's the most fun I usually have at PaizoCon. It is concentrated laughter in snark form.

Scores:
Taldan Rec: 1 point out of 25
Knights: 5
Looking for Group: 7
Flumph: 9
Boston Mafia: 12
Venture Mom: 14
Straight out JC: 14
Noct Panties: 16
Infra Drags: 16

The top 2 teams (Panties and Drags) went to tiebreakers and its was a doozie: name the polearm weapons used by the runelords as they would appear in a rulebook and the runelord that used them.

Winner: Noct Panties

P.S. I love that Tonya, JC, Linda, Mark S, Jessica P, Diego, and other Paizo staff are working late for the 'joy' of this event. It's nice that they stay up extra late after working all day to put this on, but it's so much fun.

It's past midnight and I go to bed. I'm going to be up at 8am to see if I can get into the ACG finals at 8am. Strangely enough, I drank nothing tonight. But, thankfully, Thursty drinks for me to avoid any surplus.

Back at my room after the banquet. There were a LOT of exciting things that happened tonight, first and foremost David being named volunteer of the year. I was sitting at the table with him and he was shocked and honored and humbled even though he deserves it in droves!

The announcement of no new base set for the card game has rightfully disappointed some people, but I'd like to throw my confidence hat at Vic, Mike and Keith. They know what they are doing and will produce an excellent product for us to spend all our money on. I've been part of the conversations about what direction the base sets could possibly take in the future, and what Vic said at the podium and at our table made me extremely excited about the future of the game.

Very excited to hear that some of my work on the goblins scenarios last year is making its way in some form to the digital version of the PACG. :-D

I was also honored to have Mike sit at my Kobolds table and enjoy playing through a scenario with us. He seemed to genuinely have a great time just playing with fans of his game, which I very much appreciate from someone who has to play and think about the game all the time. I don't know how he doesn't get tired of it LOL.

.Trivia contest times. The infrared pseudo dragons are made up of jacob michals, stephen glicer, ron lundeen, eric ives, andrew hoskins and therry tennant.

Round 1
We got question 1 right about the first adventure thursty wrote.
The second we got wrong. We did not know what the last issue of dragon was.
We did know who were in the paizo finance department.
And we did know the company that pathfinder worked with that also produced the gamers.
We sadly also did not know when wesly sneider started working for paizo.

But 3 points is not bad.

Round 2 was the hard rules questions.
1 what shows up in a statblock under enviroment?
2 what is the worst fear condition from horror adventures?
3 what cr1/2 humanoids show up in the beastiary but not the monster codex?
4 what is the dc to adjust subjective gravity?
5 super complicated math question about negative levels.

Only 1 point. For the enviromemt statblock. Sadly we did not get half a point for only guessing tengu on question 3.

Round 3 was all about adventures.
1 what is the name of the town from gallows of madness?
2 what is the name of the foe dressed in gray rags that players encounter in part 1 of strange eons.
3 what is the name of the location players are send to investigate in ire of the storm
4 what is the name of the new subsystem introduced in ironfang invasion?
5 another math questions in which you had to know the season of a pfs adventure and use that seasons number in the equation

We scored a solid 5 there. We did have to bribe thursty with a drink for the answer to 3.

Round 4
1 "leave your quarrel at the shore"
2 what are the names of the major human tribes in mwangi? (You only had to name 3)
3 complicated question in which you had to name a disfunct hellknight order.
4 apart from male and female what is the 3 gender for shirren?
5 what is the name of the big ass forest in taldor with the druids in it.

Sadly we did some wrong guesses and ended up with only 2 points.

Round 5
1 what is the name of a hobgoblin from a certain novel
2 what is the name of the red headed bikini lady the pathfinder iconics encounter in the crossover comics.
3 what is the name of the human iconic for starfinder?
4 what is the new class deck coming out for the card game next deck set?
5 what is the name of a certain character in the novel bloodborne?

We scored a solid 5, putting us at the top! Bit another team appealed a question and got a point retro actively so suddenly we had a tie.
The tiebreaker question was to name thenrunelords plus their weapons of rule. Only a correct pair would give you points.
Sadly we could only remeber 3, while the others got to 5.
So we lost.
The trivia game was immense fun and we laughed a lot.

Now I must go to bed as I am so tired I have started to mildly hallucinate.
