Ankheg Acid... is it good for cooking?

Pathfinder Society

in addition for day job checks, I am using my Profession cooking skill for 'flavor' (pun intended), things like making jerky out of meat from dire rats... it doesn't ever actually do anything mechanically for me, just something to add some some humor... so we recently defeated an Ankheg and the DM allowed me to have harvested some of it's acid and I was wondering can someone with profession cook make a sauce out of it or something or should I give it to the character that has profession brewing? lol

I suspect it would be better used in a diluted form for blanching vegetables or as a pickling agent (sort of a vinegar substitute). Since monsters' poisons and acids tend to lose their potency fairly quickly, it might be that aging the ankheg acid for a few weeks really mellows its acidity and allows it to lend a tart tang to your favorite foods, much as one might use vinegar or a cooking wine.

I do recommend sealing your ankheg acid tightly to avoid exposing it to acidophilic bacteria that might taint pickled foods. As always, do your research and prepare food responsibly!

I have a dwarf sorceror with Professon (food taster) who will be glad to let you know. Thankfully, dwarves have bonuses to poison saves!
