FYI: the words "untyped damage" first appear in Mythic Adventures(First printing August 2013) under Arcane Cannon. Then Occult Adventures(First printing July 2015) under Kineticist Wrack(Su), and then Bestiary 5(First printing November 2015) under Plague Swarm.

The text of Bless Water has changed from 3.0 to PF. Important fluff was deleted/redirected.

Bless Water 3.0 compared to PF:

text removed in PF.
text added in PF.

Bless Water
Transmutation [Good]
Level: Clr 1, Pal 1
Components: V, S, M (5 pounds of powdered silver worth 25 gp)
Casting Time: 1 minute
Range: Touch
Target: Flask of water touched
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates (object)
Spell Resistance: Yes (object)
This transmutation imbues a flask (1 pint)
of water with positive energy, turning it
into holy water (page 113). Holy water is
considered blessed, which means it has
special effects on certain creatures.
Material Component: 5 pounds of
powdered silver (worth 25 gp).
(see page 160).

comparing the text of DnD3.0 pg 113 and PF pg 160 reveals again that PF removed the special effects wording of "considered blessed" and added in the rules for attacks as where DnD 3.0 referenced the rules but left blessed undefined a while it appears in several spells. In review of DnD 3.0 PH and DMG it is clear that "special effects" is used in common terms to denote something special rather than a type or definition.

Holy Water descriptive text from DnD 1.0 DMG pg65:

Holy/unholy Water: All forms of undead, as well as creatures from the lower planes (demons, devils, night hags, night mares, nycadaemons, etc.) are affected by HOLY WATER. Paladins, lammasu shedu, ki-rin, and similar creatures of good alignment (or from the upper planes) are af- fected by UNHOLY WATER. The liquid causes the affected creature to suffer a burning as if struck by acid. Undead in non-material form cannot be harmed by holy water, i.e. until a ghost takes on material form, it is un-affected, and a vampire in gaseous form cannot be harmed by holy water.

I am unsure whether this has already been mentioned but all creatures with damage reduction take damage normaly from energy damage. As holy water clearly deals positive energy damage it is not subject to damage reduction in any way what so ever. no question about it...
Try reading the damage reduction rules before going insane next time...

Silver Crusade

No one in this thread was talking about damage reduction, but regeneration. Try reading the thread before you necro it just to insult people.
