My favorite character, possibly ever, was named Alias. It was a tribute to Bob Dylan in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.
DENVER: "What's your name, boy?"
DYLAN: "Alias."
DENVER: "Alias what""
DYLAN: "Alias anything you please."
DENVER: "What do we call you?"
DYLAN: "Alias."
BEAVER: "Hey, let's call him Alias."
DYLAN: "That's what I'd do."
DENVER: "Alias it is."
And, since Alias was an inquisitor of Groetus, "alias madness" is most definitely the appropriate term.

I usually use thine wok-like stripes, I get when I'm making streak, roast or the like, out a big cut of beef-meat.
mixed in with the best edible parts of the trimmings (I hate wasting meat, and with the cost of a good piece of beef-meat, I need to get as much out of it as possible ^^).
I do the same, but I usually use that cuts for burgers. When I don't have enough I freeze them until I get enough meat for a couple of good burgers. Then I ground the beef with my blender's accesories.

great... I just wasted my entire evening watching Alton Brown videos on youtube, cause someone HAD to introduce me to them.
(IS more perturbed at himself than anyone else)
[edit: SO... I did enjoy watching them... But I ended up watching way to many, and now, in order to keep myself from having to much to do tomorrow, I'll have to stay up till 1-ish, so I am very much mentally kicking myself right now]
{2nd Edit: I am in EST}

It's been a few days. I've been busy with health problems as well as kidlet problems. He's been hiding that he hasn't been turning in his schoolwork for weeks. Consequences are now hitting and I've been on Mean Mommy duty of late.
This past weekend I tried making donuts for the first time. My first batch were passable. They need improving. And I think I want to try some other recipes to see if they come out better.
And then I had a major kitchen disaster when putting away the deep fryer. When I pulled out the container with the oil in it, it wasn't sealed and this ended up resulting in a whole gallon of oil all over the kitchen floor. All the clothes I was wearing were totally ruined and I had to use an old towel which also had to be thrown away to clean up the giant puddle before mopping the floor with dish soap like ten times. It still feels kind of oily a few days later. :/
Let's just say I have a really goos understanding of how the grease spell works now. And it's a freaking miracle that for once I made a reflex save. :P
Grilled five spice wings the next day, and those turned out as well as they ever have. They are a favorite of my family, and the only downside is I never seem to have enough packs of chicken for everyone to be happy. No matter how many packs I buy. :)

Having worked in a restaurant I know well about spilled oil... yucks.
I've just received the information about my 3 and a half month contract. 15 days at Microbiology, 3 months at emergency lab. I'll be working night shifts a few days. My brain disconnects after 11 PM so I'm unsure of how will it be xD

Ahh.. short work day.
The weathers nice, I've just been paid, I'm in a pretty good place mentally and I've been invited to one of my RP players wedding.
I must be doing something right for a change.
So tonight the menu will probably be, pan-fried smoked bacon and mashed potatoes.
Nice to see you again lyn, and I feel for your troubles (be they health, oil or kidlet related ^^)
Ugh...Insomnia is damned annoying, I really hope you get over it as soon as possible Kile.
*Gives lyn and kile their favorite beverage and a hug*

*Drinks what's probably Coca Cola or some type of tea, it isn't clear*
Glad to hear you had a good day! Congrats to your player for his wedding!
I'm out of the job for today, it's been a good day too even though I am kinda sleepy.
Thanks to my insomnia I have corrected some stuff on my writing, so it was useful insomnia xD
Thanks again for your help, Kjeldorn!

I'm glad that you're okay. I'm even more glad that it wasn't hot oil that got spilled onto you.
A friend of mine got spilled on his face when he was 6 years old. Good reflexes and luck made him cover his eyes just in time. His right hand burned and 1/4 his face with scars. Can't grow a beard the poor guy.
I've been a waiter for almost 7 years. Never had an accident. Won't come back beeing one again even under death penalty. Ironically, I had my funniest memories from there. Those were the days...

Making corrections to a story I'm writing... thanks, Kjeldorn!
Still not 5 AM and already hungry.
Reading "massage" instead of "message" made this post weird xD
I'll mEssage you next time, even if I expect there is not a next time. That would be optimal.
I made a coffee cheesecake the other day and I am wondering why I hadn't make one before. It's delicious!
I'm also looking for some ideas for making my birthday cake so I can invite some friends, as my birthday is going to be in a few weeks. I don't need it to be too complicated but I want to try original things (why do I keep writing thongs instead of things?). Ideas?

Hmmm maybe a Sacher-torte with a coffee twist? if you're brave and skilled you could try and make this Profiterole.
Does it have to be a cake?

About Spain (from The Onion's Our Dumb World); "Spain, Enjoying a Three Century Siesta.
Though it once dominated the seas and five continents, today the drowsy Spanish Empire lacks the energy necessary to wipe out an entire indigenous population, would rather bum around Europe than conduct a brutal inquisition, and lost the contact information for its American colonies centuries ago.
With a stunning array of nappable landscapes, including long, lazy coastlines and slouching mountains, Spain offers incredible beauty to those who are nodding off or just resting their eyes"

Those are all lies, but I feel too lazy to give arguments against that.
I'm going to sleep.P.S. You focused too much on lazyness and siesta. Next time bring the topic of bullfighting and flamenco too xD
P.S2. No way I support bullfighting or flamenco.

Nighty night Kile.

I'll go to sleep in a while but that one was just a joke. I can see it's confusing as I sometimes go to sleep at this time xD
I wasn't very inspired here.

Yikes! That sounds awful! I've done similar with boiling water, but never with oil, thank goodness. I've burnt myself a lot over the years though. It's amazing that I have no scars from any of it. But I am definitely the reason that we keep an aloe plant in the kitchen. :)

Well, I worked a hard solid hour making space in my bedroom for the new king sized bed I'm getting soon. I had no idea how much I'd let just pure junk pile up. And being overweight and disabled I have to take breaks fairly often, so this is my first break of the task. I've thrown away quite a bit, but I've also realized I've mostly just shuffled things around. Now I've got to find spaces for the many things I want to keep. But for now, rest and something to eat. Getting dizzy.... woo! vertigo! Nature's rush!

That sounds very similar to what I made for dinner last night, except I baked the bacon because I was feeling lazy about cleanup. :)*sips iced coffee* Ahhh, caffeine. ^.^

I'm not the only one! I don't wear shoes unless absolutely required. Shoes feel so confining and make my feet hot. Socks are only marginally better. I wear them under protest in the winter to deal with the cold. I knit my own socks so that I have more motivation to actually wear socks.

I once spilled a pot full of boiling sauce over my right hand and lower arm.
Had burns all over both, and instead of being sensible and going to the emergency center. I just wrapped a bandage around my hand and lower arm, and soaked it in ice-water, when the pain became too much (when I slept it was with my hand in a bucket of ice water).

Not technically a cake, but my husband likes when I make pavlova for his birthday. It's basically a big meringue topped with whipped cream and fruit. The next most favorite is flourless chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and cherries. We're not so big on frosting. :)

Yeah, I'm like that too. Because I'm chronically ill I have a long bad history with doctors, so I won't seek medical attention unless it's a really, really serious.
