It seems unlikely to me. A new element requires a lot of ongoing upkeep. If Earth also counts as Metal, they've also covered the elements by all the systems Pathfinder uses. On the other hand, Psychic Anthology will flesh out Void and Wood, which I would see as a prerequisite to making new elements, so that'll be one less barrier.

I would love to see new kineticist elements but I doubt we will see any anytime soon.
If/when they do a new element, I hope it will be based on the positive energy plane. With that you could get positive energy based abilities(healing, curing, reviving, harming undead), light based powers(maybe even solid light constructs), abilities dealing animals(animal forms, wild empathy, controlling animals, animal companion, etc.), powers of reincarnation and evolution, etc.

I seriously doubt we'll get more elements from Paizo anytime soon. While I'm fond of void, I think Occult Origins has shown that it's tough to include a new element in a player's companion unless a large percentage of the book is dedicated to it...and to be honest, I would much rather they continue to provide more options for existing elements, as they're still often fairly bare-bones when it comes to options, as well as of course more feats, magic items, and other such for kineticists.
Though yes, there are a number of fairly interesting third party elements from companies such as Everyman Gaming (Dream), Legendary Games (Machine, Mind) and Purple Duck Games (Light, Poison, Sound, Time, Viscera). But that's another topic that belongs in a different forum, I believe.

There is a report that Psychic Anthology will introduce new language for organizing wild talents (something like "This functions as [spellname] except it costs n burn") which will allow them to introduce new wild talents much more efficiently in terms of column inches.
So it will be easier to include Kineticist stuff in books, or if you get, say, one page for Kineticist stuff you can put more on it. So that will make it easier to support new elements if they decide to add them, but fleshing out the existing ones is more of a priority.
Honestly, the original elements could use a wider variety of powers so there aren't as many "always take this one" non-choices (Every aerokineticist takes Wings of Air, every Telekineticist takes TK finesse, haul, and invisibility, etc.)

Yeah, that's what I mean when I say they're bare-bones...usually it feels like there's only one or two builds that most people are going to gravitate to per element, and I'd love for there to be a lot more competition for your wild talent picks, allowing more customization...though that might just be my impression.

While new elements would be cool, they would need to do a whole kineticist book to do it well and correctly. Unless they do this I'd rather them just keep putting out supplemental stuff like feats, utility talents, infusions, and items that provide more options. My lvl 11 kineticist is about to go on an solo quest so that she can retrain two of her feats into Extra Wild Talent so she can get an Aether Wysp Sage Familiar.

I wonder why they never put wood/void options in a hardcover book.
I can field this one. Hardcover books never reference the softcover lines, since they aren't on the PRD. The only way this would happen is if they reprinted the content from Occult Origins in a hardcover, thus allowing it to serve as the foundation for other content. (And no plans to do so have been publicly announced at this time.)

If kineticist transfers to starfinder well, i could see them adding an element that fits that setting. Wood is kinda tangent to the positive plane, so that could grow into those wild talents without adding a new element...
Starfinder is 'meant' to be a stand alone game, but they will include rules (more like a guide) on how to transfer pathfinder stuff over.

They should, honestly. With how popular void is as an option. They should rethink the defenses though of both so they scale like the other elements. (Something different than emptiness as well would be preferred. It just.. sucks. Very situational.)

I would love alternate element defense options without needing an archetype or feat. This would also be useful to take the expanded defense wild talent for characters who actually stuck with their element.
I agree, void's defense is lacking and also hurts if you are playing a race that is healed by negative energy.
Well I hope if they add a new element then it ends up in a hardcover.
