Maths: Probability of hitting

Ive recently melted my brain, so i need some help with this.

In one turn, if I hit 70% of the time on the first attack, 45% on the 2nd, 20% on the 3rd and 5% on the fourth: How many attacks on average are landing each turn?

More specifically I'd say 1.85, but that is just eyeballing it.

1.4 attacks per turn, on average.

The way the math works is simply adding the probabilities. They add up to 140 percent, so 1.4 hits.

I thought it was 1.4, but it seemed a little too simple to my addled brain... Guess I was just overthinking.

Exactly three hits - 7.77%
All four hits - 0.32%

At least one hit - 87.46%
At least two hits - 44.15%
At least three hits - 8.08%

Average number of hits = 1.4.
