Society character possibility

So I'm very curious about making a character my inspiration came from ruby's shotgun gauntlets.
The character I want to make is basically a melee spellcaster that when they make an attack they have a rune or some spell cast onto their fist or gauntlet that would discharge upon striking the enemy exploding as if a a rune of warning or etc. Suggestions?
What I was thinking was 1 lvl into monk and then the rest into magus but Im unsure of how it will work out.

There's magus, esoteric magus, monk with elemental strike, aesetic kinteticist, all of these punch and have special effects.
