lycanthrope stat bonuses

how does the lycanthropes stat bonuses work when in hybrid form i know they take the better of the two but how do racial bonuses/ability score bonuses from level up and the bonuses from the template work together

Racial bonuses apply to the base creature's stats, so you compare base creature to animal and take the better. Leveling bonuses would work the same I believe, but I could be wrong. The hybrid form replaces stats, it is not a bonus to them, if that distinction helps to see how attribute adjustments should work.

ok so racials apply to only base form but the template will replace the stats with the better of the two in hybrid form and then apply the template buffs but the leveling bonuses are the last thing i'm am confused about and would like absolute answer about.
