1. Offensive crap gets deleted and the Offender banned.
2. I'd rather post my Home-brew Adventure maps and Art and self composed D&D campaign appropriate Music here than on the Rival WOTC site.
3. We are wasting too much time in the Off Topic area when we could be generating huge amounts of Awesome stuff.

1. That's still time taken off by the staff who could be doing something else. Also, suppose I upload a song full of Polish antisemitic vulgarities, Polish-speaking board users take offense, poor Gary has to reach for Polish dictionary. Even more time wasted for little gain.
2. Google Drive is your friend, as is Dropbox and dozens of other "upload your stuff here so you can share it with others" services.

I don't think we're ever going to be in a position where paizo.com is an all-purpose cloud storage site or anything. And the drooling mouthy bag is correct that we really, really, really don't want to be in the upload policing business. But there are some edge cases related to the virtual tabletop that start moving in that direction, so I guess the answer is never say never. But not anytime soon.

Perhaps pictures could be uploaded to specific campaign folders and that would be the only way they could be linked to and show up on the boards.
It would help campaigns be a tad more immersive and you would instantly know who to beat to death with a frozen carp if choices smacking of bad taste were employed leading to smacking.

You really want to have Gary chase around people uploading gifs with penises and songs about vaginas instead of upgrading the store and the website, do you? :)
I really do not see this happening so much that it would be to problematic. I could see it upping the ante for trolls and flame wars a little bit. I think the biggest problem is Paizo would have to turn into the IP Police and I could see that becoming a giant mess they would rather not have to deal with.
I am really not sure what kind of music the OP is talking about though? Stuff that sets a tone, because that is probably mostly copyrighted. Homemade stuff? I am not sure if there are a lot of people who would really take advantage of that feature. There are also plenty of 3rd party sites you can use and just post a link.

Whats wrong with uploading it to Dropbox/Google Drive or imgur or some other image storing website and linking to it here?
What's wrong is that you have to keep hitting links which is just a pain.
It would be very nice to see pictures that are the subject of a topic WITHOUT having to continually hit links - lol

I too think it's a GREAT idea!
For those who don't want that... Just stay out of the Special Art and Special music section.
And I'm sure they'ed have more than enough volunteers to moderate content being submitted. It's really a win-win for everyone!
Yes...you definitely need a section for the special people.
