Any chance we'd be able to get some kind of monthly "Where starfinder is at now" blog? I appreciate it's all still in flux, but even if it was at the meta-level of "We've started playtesting the starship battles rules and here's some of our guiding principles...." I for one would really appreciate it.

I realise it's too soon for previews, but some behind-the-scenes musings would be equally welcome.

That's more along the lines of using the claim as evidence of itself. I mean I could tell you a certain part of me not to be mentioned in polite company is magically delicious, but that doesn't make my "lucky charms" actually magical.

From what Erik and Jason discussed at Dragoncon they do seem like a lot of fun, especially to other space combat systems.

With the phases for rounds and the everyone having something to do instead of a designated "pilot" I'm looking forward to it.

Not all ships should die in massive FX ladden explosions though. We need lots of dead space hulks looming as markers of long ago battles, floating through regions of space no one cares about anymore. haunted hulls and tantalizing salvage opportunities in waiting.

Should be based on reactor type as well. If you're running on some singularities, containment loss might be more of an implosion, with other ships disappearing or at least losing a bit of mass as you collapse inwards.
