So, something I'm looking at, that I'm not sure how it resolves. I'm on an axebeak and wielding a lance (so we both have 10' reach). We charge, and it gets a free trip attempt if it hits. I let it attack first, cause my lance vs prone is a nice bonus.
Now, I'm considering giving the axebeak the Dirty Fighting/Improved Trip/Greater Trip feat chain. The question is how to handle the AoO that provokes from Greater Trip. The target IS in range of my lance, but I still haven't made my lance charge attack. What do I use for the riders AoO?

I personally wouldn't even give you prone bonuses on that lance attack. In theory your attack and the Axebeaks happen simultaniously at tyhe end of the charge. I you wait (aka intentionally hold back your at the end of your charge) on executing your charge attack until after the Axebeak has tripped the opponent, you've lost your momentum, which is what gives you the bonuses, as per the current charge/pounce FAQ.
