ok so i need help with two things. one major one minor.
major
i'm trying to make a vampire template for skyrim setting pathfinder system. the vampire pathfinder has is nothing like the ones in skyrim and trying to make a template isn't the easiest since there is no guidelines to make a template. so far ive done this in two ways.
universal monster rules and race creation rules
i came up with 20rp vampire template using the race rules.
there is no rating for the monster rules.
(ill post the race creator version since its the only one that actual has a rating system. do keep in mind this goes ontop of a character with class levels and race keeping everything they have while gaining vampire powers on top of that.)
Light Blindness (–2 RP)
Prerequisites: Darkvision or see in darkness trait.
Weakness: Abrupt exposure to bright light blinds members of this race for 1 round; on subsequent rounds, they are dazzled as long as they remain in the affected area.
Elemental Vulnerability (–2 RP) (fire)
Weakness: Pick one of the following energy types: acid, cold, electricity, or fire. Members of this race have vulnerability to the chosen energy type. They cannot posses any racial trait that grants them resistance or immunity to this energy type.
Natural Attack (1 RP) {claw x2}
Benefit: Pick one of the following natural attacks: gore, hoof (if the race has hooves), slam, talons, or wings (if the race has flight). Members of this race receive one natural attack of the chosen type. Gore, slam, and talons are primary natural attacks, while hoof and wings are secondary natural attacks. The damage is based on the creature's size.
Special: This trait can be taken multiple times. Each time, pick a different natural attack.
Bite (1 RP)
Prerequisites: Small or larger size.
Benefit: Members of this race gain a natural bite attack, dealing damage equivalent to that of a creature two size categories lower than normal for their size (1d2 for Small races, 1d3 for Medium, etc.). The bite is a primary attack, or a secondary attack if the creature is wielding manufactured weapons.
Object of Desire (1 RP)
Prerequisites: None.
Benefit: Members of this race add +1 to their caster level when casting charm person and charm monster.
Skill Bonus (2 RP) (stealth
Benefits: Pick a single skill. Members of this race gain a +2 racial bonus on skill checks made with this skill. Alternatively, pick two related skills—each member of this race gains a +1 racial bonus on these skills during character creation.
Energy Resistance (1 RP) (cold)
Benefit: Pick one of the following energy types that corresponds to the plane the race has ties to: acid (earth), cold (water), electricity (air), or fire (fire). Members of this race have resistance 5 to the corresponding energy type.
Undead (10 RP) esitmated number because some things where taken out
Undead have no Constitution score. Undead use theirCharisma score in place of their Constitution score when calculating hit points, Fortitude saves, and any special ability that relies on Constitution (such as when calculating a breath weapon's DC).
Undead are immune to bleed damage, death effects, disease, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
Undead are harmed by positive energy and healed by negative energy. An undead creature with the fast healing special quality still benefits from that quality.
Undead do not risk death from massive damage, but are immediately destroyed when reduced to 0 hit points or fewer.
Undead are not affected by raise dead and reincarnate spells or abilities. Resurrection and true resurrection can affect undead creatures. These spells turn undead creatures back into the living creatures they were before becoming undead.
Undead do not breathe, eat, or sleep, unless they want to gain some beneficial effect from one of these activities. This means that an undead creature can drink potions to benefit from their effects and can sleep in order to regain spells, but neither of these activities is required to survive or stay in good health.
Undead have the darkvision 60 feet racial trait.
this comes to a total of 13
adding in two once per day spells (dominate person and animate dead) puts it at a 20rp
also it can give creatures the vampire disease with its bite
one way i was thinking about balancing is have the powers be gained with out feeding for x number of days with x number stages equal to days.

I'm too busy at the moment to really review your work here, but there's going to be a corruption system in the soon-to-be-released Horror Adventures and one of the corruptions is vampiric.
That might be relevant to your interests - you're certainly right about the template not working for Skyrim's vampirism. ^_^

i do not know what feats i should take for a thrown weapon build with chakrams
so far this is what i got rapid shot, TWF, weapon finesse, and point blank shot
quick draw is another feat i need but besides that im not sure what i need.
the class im going is vigilante. race half drow (vampire?). skyrim setting.
i think i know what i need to to take from the class

Yeah, template creation is kind of a pro design thing. XD The Advanced Bestiary is a good resource, though. Speaking of, you may want to look at the Dread Vampire template - it has a number of abilities that are at least vaguely similar to Skyrim's vampires. Basically, build the template with the powers you WANT it to have, then start comparing it to other things to estimate a CR range.

i did try to look at that a bit but came down to seeing what i could do on my own then ask around to see if anyone could help a bit.
the dread was the closest the problem is the gasous form, swarming, and a few other things it had like con drain. so i wasnt sure if trading those things out for some of the things above would be balanced and keep its CR in check. also the major boost to ability scores is werid to me to add on to a race with levels already.
if i knew how those effects were rated into the cr thats what i would have done but im unsure if that come out balacned

I would use the normal Vampire template but add the polymorph ability like the Vampire Lords from Skyrim and treat it something like a character with a Dire Bat Lycanthropy.
True Form as a standard action. They grow Wings 20ft- poor maneuverability, Bite-blood drain, Claws-grab, and maybe some spell like abilities at will like Death Knell or Inflict Light Wounds.
This could give you what you are looking for without all the work of starting from scratch.

vampire lord is a different from what im saying. im not a vampire lord currently im a normal vampire. either vampire can walk in daylight no problem. vampires dont worry about garlic. vampires do not need to be invited into your home. do not worry about stakes
pathfinder vampire will die in light. will be hurt from normal water will be set up for the kill with a stake in your heart. plus other things that a normal vampire in skyrim doesnt deal with.
becoming a vampire lord should be an rp class vs a template since vampire lords do gain a heck of a lot more than that of a normal vampire or human. or it can be a template but you need to do a lot of rp stuff that you have to do consistantly to maintain such a power that isnt drinking blood because vampires get stronger when they drink less blood

Then, build a scaling power table to represent your increased powers the longer you don't feed, along with scaling penalties. I remember that playing as a Vampire in Skyrim, at best in the daylight your stamina recovery was very slow... if you were super powerful from starving yourself the sunlight would kill you very quickly or kill you slowly if you were somewhere in between.
Its been a while since Ive played but here is a quick build;
Fed within 1 week:
Fatigued in daylight, +2 STR, +2 DEX, +8 CHA, Darkvision 60ft, light sensitivity
2 weeks since fed:
Fatigued in daylight, 2 damage/round in daylight, +4 STR, +4 DEX, +6 CHA, Darkvision 60ft, Scent, +4 to Perception, +4 to Stealth in dim light or darkness, light sensitivity, -5 on Disguise to appear alive
3 weeks since fed:
Fatigued in daylight, 5 damage/round in daylight, +6 STR, +6 DEX, +4 CHA, Darkvision 60ft, Scent, +6 to perception, +6 to Stealth in dim light or darkness, light sensitivity, Invisibility 1/day, Bite 1d3(Medium), -10 on Disguise to appear alive
Longer than 1 month:
Exhausted in Daylight, 10 damage/round in daylight, +8 STR, +8 DEX, +2 CHA, Darkvision 120ft, Scent, +8 to Perception, +8 to Stealth in dim light or darkness, light blindness, Invisibility 3/day, Bite 1d6 (Medium), Lifesense 60ft, -20 on Disguise to appear alive
Im sure there are a couple other spell like abilities you could add.

if you don't have a bite how do you feed. and in skyrim it took 4 days each day representing a stage vs weeks
and the sun didn't hurt the vampire it made regaining health impossible or slow same with stamina and magicka
and why is a vampires cha going down? more you dont feed the more charm you had or had charm spells. if anything all 3 stats would go up with out feeding instead of one going down and the others going up
compareing it to skyrim.

Tyrant Lizard King |

You can feed on a helpless or pinned opponent. If you don't include any weakness then this will be broken. Even the most powerful vampires are killed by the sun and Im fairly certain that if you grew your power from not feeding then you became more weak and damaged by the sun. The Vampire Lords were the only ones who weren't affected by the sun.
I suggest the drop in CHA because you become more hideous and obviously a vampire (like in Skyrim)... this would also drop your total health. You become stronger from your starvation as you become more feral but also weaker from malnourishment. Feeding/Not feeding should require some consideration after all. If you had nothing but Boons from starving yourself, what would ever be the point in feeding? To lose all your bonuses to look cool as you drain someone? That's why I built it that way.
Again, this was a quick idea for use with Pathfinder. Take what you like from it, discard what you don't like.
