Hi everyone. In a PF game I'm in I am playing a Monkey Goblin, and I wanted to share my stat block with you and solicit suggestions or ideas for what direction to take this guy in. Starting at level 1.
STR 9
DEX 20
CON 14
INT 14
WIS 10
CHA 7
Originally I was thinking of going with unchained rogue with the vexing dodger archetype. Climb people, make a CMB check to do a dirty trick. Obviously that becomes more viable as he increases in level. The only thing I see as a bump in that road is when people try to get him off, his CMD isn't great by default if they try to grapple or something. I think the idea of this monkey goblin riding in another PC's backpack, popping out in a fight to climb the bad guys and poke them in the eyes before sneak attacking could be fun. But he's squishy. What do you think?
I was also thinking about the goblin racial archetype for Barbarian, but I'm not statted for that. I could move the base 16 dex to Strength, move one of those 14's over to Dex to be an 18. but then I'm left with a 9 in Int, or with the racial penalty, a 7 in Wisdom. It would definitely be something of a contradiction to have a small monkey goblin as this fierce biting barbarian.
I'm really in love with the climbing speed. I'm trying to stay away from spells right now as I feel like it just makes things more complicated than necessary.
Thanks for any thoughts you have to share.

You would absolutely want to make the most out of your +4 racial modifier to Dexterity, so I recommend you to go the Dex route. Unchained Rogue is the way to go for dex-to-damage, so that's fine.
I recommend you to take the Student of Philosophy trait, so that you can switch your Cha for Int on Bluff checks to lie, and Diplomacy checks to persuade others. This will allow you to be the party face even though you got a Cha penalty.
And if you have no use for Combat Expertise (prerequisite for Quick Dirty Trick), then you should take the Dirty Fighting feat, which has some neat effects.
Before level 3, you should probably use a ranged weapon when possible, to avoid the str penalty to damage.

Slayer Would be good as well. Dex build with the Ranger Combat feats making you an effective switch hitter. Early levels, once again you would be focusing on the Ranged, but around level 3 is when you start coming online. there is also swashbuckler, the Mouser archetype to be precise. get into the creature's square, take stand still as a feat, and just be climbing all over him.
