Considering the Deluxe Collector's Edition of Runelords is still available, my hope that there will be a similar version for CotCT is pretty low. Here's hoping I'm wrong!
You are wrong. That edition was just announced today.

Deluxe Collector's Edition vs. ordinary Anniversary Edition
He's wanting the leatherette and metal case for CotCT. :)

Oh right, that's something different of course. No, I wouldn't expect that for Curse of the Crimson Throne.

If I did that, who would support my gaming habits then?
Need forward thinking for these kinds of things... :oP

Yes! So happy!
Any idea when we'll get a clearer version of that image, so that we can read what it says? I can make out the words "expanded adventures", which has me very excited indeed...
Never mind, found the blurb over on Know Direction...
Exciting stuff!

Words fail me. This is something I've wanted for a long, long time.
Thanks, Paizo!
And just in time for summer employment to pick up around here!

As evidenced by the past, our preferred venue for making big announcements is to do so at big conventions. Like say, PaizoCon or Gen Con, of course... but sometimes other major industry conventions that happen at other times of the year...
So something announced this week at GDC which explains why Jessica Price is there....
I'm excited!
Nope. I was fortunate enough to be chosen for a leadership bootcamp that sponsored my pass and travel.
And GDC, for those unfamiliar, is less a convention than basically a week of grad school for game devs.
It's super-cool, and turns out a lot of video game devs are big Pathfinder fans. :-)

Extremely excited about the Curse of the Crimson Throne hardcover! Definitely picking that up!
But I doubt this is the project that JJ already wanted to do 10 years ago. So let's keep guessing, folks!
You're spot on. It's not that project at all. It kinda jumped the rails into the schedule BEFORE I could get to work on that project.

So, In regards to this and other things... (I posted this in another thread too)...
So, I'll be getting this. The question I'd have is whether this is an anniversary edition, or something else?
The 10th year anniversary isn't for around another year and a half? Right?
So this would put this around a year prior to the anniversary?
Is this an indication that we might get another for the anniversary...or is this book it?

This isn't an "Anniversary Edition." It's just a hardcover edition. Its existence neither confirms nor denies any other plans we may or may not have for the 10th year anniversary; it exists outside of and apart from that.

Selective reading is always fun!
I will misinterpret that statement to my own amusement and look forward to the big Tenth Anniversary plan.

Well - only one revealed so far.....? Okie dokie.
James, I can only imagine how hilarious this board thread is, when you know the truths. You get extra points for being such a damn good tease.
Plus, the official Paizo responses to things are sounding an awfully lot like government officials when talking about classified projects.

The "Art of WAR: Wayne Reynolds coloring book"?
This is probably a terrible thing for me to say, but unfortunately, tis true for me (probably not for others).
Depending on price, that might actually tempt me more to get it than the Art Book?
Though, I would NOT say it would guarantee a sale to me at all...it could be fun to color PF pictures.

I have my own theories...
James Jacobs is forming a boy band with choice other members of the Paizo crew. The all t-rex band will be performing such hits as, "Baby, it's chompin time," "You're like a steak to me," and "No one can fill your shoes (because you're a t-rex, too)".
Earlier, they'd tried for a more ZZ-Finder style, but discovered the downside to t-rex tiny arms and guitars, and all forum threads had already been down the crazy train. There was no going back; they needed something new to recapture that teen spirit they'd felt in younger years. In doing so, they had to swallow a jaegered little pill.
However, at least for now, they're keeping it on the j-low, and expect this band to be swiftly taylored to the true love, t-rex flavored topics of today.
"Oh, baby, it's chompin time."
