Do we know for certain the sekrit projekt is for Paizo? For all we know, Jacobsaurus could be building a castle for himself.

If Warcraft and D&D can get movies why Can't Pathfinder?
From what I've seen of the D&D movies, and what I'm hearing in advance about the Warcraft movie... I'm okay with Pathfinder not having a movie.

I can totaly second that statement!
Better skipped than badly done. I don´t think Blizzard and WoW are doing themselves a favor there.

And Based on the Quality of the Previous "Lord of the Ring" Quality Peter Jackson should have never made any of his editions right?
Just Because Someone else made bad movies does not mean the next person has to.
And of course if they don't spend money and time on a quality movie we know what they will end up like.
Look what happened to the Piss poor Dragonlance Cartoon Movie :( :( :( :( :(

Quality of movies is irrelevant. It's how much they earn. Just ask Michael Bay.
And how much they earn is in this case based upon how hot the franchise is. And Pathfinder, as much as I love it, is non-existent from movie stuido exec POV. The pnp RPG hobby is tiny, and only D&D stands out, mostly due to the lasting pop-cultural impact it made in 70s and 80s which results in a whole generation of sentimental American 40+ year old guys who might want to go and see the movie and take their kids with them.

As bad as it is, i actually enjoyed those Dragonlance animations^^
For Pathfinder it would be far better to finally come out with a breathtaking PC game with a wonderfull single player story on AP mode. Perhaps even Runelords. With cooperative multiplayer possibility.
That would probably make it known to a very wide audience.

Kinda like NeverWinter Night?

I wouldn't exactly call the single-player mode of NWN 1 outstanding. It's multiplayer and module-making aspects were unparalleled, though.
Unfortunately, the recent debacle of Sword Coast Legends has likely cooled interest for licensed cRPGs among video game developers and publishers. Torment: Numenera can perhaps turn this around, but it's stil faaar away.

I liked the single player modus there, at least the start of it and the first chapters were very atmospherical i think.
But it´s just an example.
A Pathfinder PC game should have it´s very own style with gameplay tailored to the specific needs of the Pathfinder RPG (and not the other way!) Also it should make use of the most modern adequate tools as much as possible.
But that might be slowly hijacking this thread^^

So Sword Coast Legends is considered a failure? I haven't picked it up yet; I shouldn't?
The reviews are firmly at "55% game, avoid", the developer went belly up in the middle of making a major DLC and the future of support is uncertain. So, yeah, it counts as 'failure' in my books. Might scare people away from doing anything D&D-related for some time.

Nope. The "Secret project" I was working on after Curse of the Crimson Throne got itself put on indefinite hold when it became clear that I would be needing to do some other things, like develop the RPG Superstar adventure and then build and develop Bestiary 6.
Whether or not that now in-Limbo Secret Project ever gets off the ground and sees the light of day... I've no idea. Not looking very good at this point though, but I've got my fingers crossed.
