This is terrifying.
He already has ideas. It’s what drew him to the property.
The property line backs up to a state nature preserve full of hiking trails.

Soooo many. It’s a princess swarm CR20
We were delighted when we were there with my six-year-old niece last year. We thought we would have to spend all our time in line for pictures with princesses. Instead she immediately said, “That’s just a lady in a costume. I don’t need a picture with her. Let’s go back to the rides.”

That’s huge. Those trails will become an integral part of your life, I bet. My old property backed up on an abandoned farm and having the illusion of open space without neighbors was huge.

The kitten Aria does not have this huntress thing down yet. She just aggressively pounced on my foot... and then started licking it.
I don’t think you’re supposed to groom your prey, little one.
Cute!
I just mentioned to a friend that I was being a bit 'Yorkshire' holding off buying a PC; to which he replied "Don't spend all your money on whippets."

Ended up being up for 45 hours during this first leg of the trip. Lucky I am a hardy monkey, lol.
I highly recommend Ohanas for dinner should you find yourself in Orlando. I had drinks with my old Army buddy Walter (one of my online DMs), who lives down here last night after. Hadn’t seen him in the flesh in 19 years. His wife just went into labor after we met. My honorary nephew wanted to meet his uncle Patrick really bad, lol.
Well, off to breakfast!

Heh, My personal 'game'(y) laptop is still running Win7. ;P
Hope your enjoying the Rat Kingdom!
My wife and I honeymooned there, 20+ years ago. We're that kinda peeps.
Last time I took my family, (This spring) 18-yr old daughter still had a blast, wearing specific t-shirts to take pics with certain characters. :P
15 yr old son,...
Lets just say it ended up being a 'high traffic' weekend (we had NO warning it was a 'busy' weekend for them til we got there) so lines were RIDICULOUSLY long, even longer than 'usual', which is way too long IMHO.
By the end he was OVER waiting 4+ hours in line for a 5 minute ride. :P
We ended up having more fun at the Whoop deDoo Revue. :)
We are all looking forward to returning to the competition, we LOVES Harry Potter worlds, and Butter Beer is GUUUUUUUUD!
:D

Yes, she is. Cats indeed lick their prey - you might have seen recordings of big cats licking their meat in various circumstances. They are supposed to have a sharp micro-extension on their tongues that scrap excess hair and slightly soften meat during eating, and remove loose hair and dirt during cleaning. That's why cats' licks feel so funny on bare skin.

CH: Quick thought. With your new property abutting a preserve you need to build a bird feeding station. Make sure you can see it from a window in your house, preferably where you eat. Watching birds is very zen, and you start to recognize individuals at the feeders.
Also gives Aria opportunity to master her hunting skills. Or more likely something to look at through the window as I presume you will keep her indoors for her own good.

Yep. She'll likely pick out a windowsill (or coffee table or chair with a view) to watch the birbs and skwirrels and chatter/chirp the song of her people.

Yes, as a hand-raised cat I don’t think she will have the skills to thrive outdoors.
And Patrick, we have bird feeders now, so I’m sure we will there too.

So she was preparing to eat me?

Most pets aren’t sentimental about you when it comes to hunger. Meh. My dog can eat my carcass. I won’t be using it anymore. The whole superstition of keeping your corpus intact for some nebulous religious purpose is kind of sad, really.
Especially if it's all going to decay, anyway.

Indeed.
The only reason I could see to have my corpse buried was if I was fantastically rich. Then I'd have an actual, multi-level, trap-laden tomb built, convert my remaining wealth to gems and art objects, and have all that shit buried with me. Anyone who could make it through would be able to keep it all.
Since fantastical wealth will likely continue to elude me, I'll probably go for some kind of viking funeral.

I would definitely back a Kickstarter for Aberzombie's Tomb of Horrors.

Aaaand back. Good Monday Treeforters!
Back on American soil with American WIFI. Time to travel to Second City and then back to DC.
THE Carribean is beautiful. I have all sorts of pirate b-roll in my brain for descriptions of my games. I really want to run a Walking Dead-style game on a cruise ship. Limitless possibilities

At the onset of my journey a week ago I had to stay up for 45 hours. At the outset while driving to Chicago I drank six ice coffees and took a handful of Vivarin. Not the wisest of moves. Especially since I usually don’t drink coffee. A side effect I always forget since I don’t drink coffee often is it’s diuretic properties. So I had to stop across Ohio and Indiana frequently
