*sigh*

Back to life
Back to reality

Not ten minutes at work and time to wrestle a pugnacious drunkard.

And my clothes are inside out

I need to watch GoT first thing tomorrow. From the barely restrained rage I see as people want to discuss something that occurred online I am assuming someone beloved got whacked. It will only be a matter of time before someone posts it publicly (NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!)

I have a problem I just spent another $400 on Dwarven forge products.............

SHAME

Is it Monday already?

An argument with my mom last night really soured me despite Saturday. I was originally considering not going to work today but in reality what does that do for me other than let her get to me again? No I'm going to work and gym like normal.

I take the "water off a duck's back" approach with my mom. And it works ... Except for the holidays when I just have my panic attack. I mean she went through hell to raise us, the least I can do is listen and not get upset. Even if I conveniently ignore a lot of her old fashioned advice.

I'm like Freehold with my mom, she's a wonderful lady, unless she has one of those days where she's just mashing my buttons like she's playing Mortal Kombat. :-)

But it's my brothers that really tend to get under my skin. Which is fine, when you don't have seven brothers.

Well, that's my day. Time to nap and maybe get to the gym later

Last night, my wife pointed out that the weekend was a Free HBO and Cinemax weekend. So I could have watched GoT for the first time since moving down to Texas. Oddly enough, I tried to turn it on, but my brain and hand resisted me.

That's what I want to know.

Also, I am not a fan of cosmopolitans, but I maintain nothing will knock you on your ass faster. Pure high-proof booze that tastes like candy? Yeah, bad combination.

So this all started because there was a drink on the cocktail menu at Lovecraft with some fanciful name that was described as "whiskey, with sweet vermouth and a dash of bitters". I asked the waitress "So, what's the difference between that and a Manhattan" and she said "Yeah, it's a Manhattan, although I like that you know your cocktail recipes". So even the bar is betting we don't know what a Manhattan is :)

Oh! Oh! I know where Manhattan is! Pick me! Pick me!

I would even love to have another player in my Potton group. (All newbies) We may just have to arrange a gaming weekends thing or something. Maybe a quarterly event where we get UK (non wacko) folks together for big adventures.

Yeah, they were calling the Manhattan the 'Devil's Reef'. I wonder if I'd ordered a 'Mountain of Madness' they'd have made me a Mudslide :D

Another fine day!

It's funny how the universe works sometimes. I had put out a petition for a bit more prosperity (the weekend drained my reserves) and now between working and going to school I will be doing something constantly through until Thursday evening.

I should qualify that I want to win the lottery

But at least I have until 3pm today to relax. Somewhat.

Of course, I am now up for the day. Pre dawn. Go figure

:(

On the plus side, my "day" ends at 7 am. Of course tomorrow starts at 11 pm tonight. Ah, the joys of the night shift.

Sleep. Sleep now. I don't care if you're up for the day. It doesn't look like you'll get anywhere near enough for the next few.

It's practice in a p-lot. No passengers or other vehicles involved

Plus I will get sleep. My life is based on hour-long nap segments
