They still show Care Bears?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Yes, in Sweden we do get occasional nudity on kids' TV.

Looks like they released Dragon Age Inquisition: Game Of The Year Edition for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, which marks the first time that they've ever had the entire game on the f#*!ing disc. Just in time for me to not have any money, too.

I'm not playing until they release dragon age 1 and 2 for xbone.

Knowing EA, that's never going to happen.

Microsoft doesn't seem to be very good at naming consoles, especially in terms of taking into consideration all connotations of the title:

Xbox 360 = "spun around in a circle and ended up right where you started"
Xbox One = "started all over from the beginning"

I bet the next one is going to be called the Xbox Repeat or something.

To quote Jason Kidd, "we are going to turn this team around three hundred and sixty degrees."

3. crime

In Saxony (city of Chemnitz, 5 minutes from my wifes hometown) police tried to arrest an syrian terrorist who had a lot of explosives in his flat and apparently was planing to suicide bomb berlin airport
police managed to let the man escape and he did escape a sexond time when they chased him
syrian refugees caught him yesterday, tied him up with extension cord ( and gave him a beating for good measure)
Police today managed to let him hang himself in his cell with his own t-shirt o.O

real and unsarcastic statement of the states minister of justice:
"we did not think that a suicide bomber would commit suicide" *facepalm*

You say Saxony, but in my head, I'm picturing Florida.

I've heard that most 360 games will play on the Xbox One just fine, but I don't think the save importer will work between DA:O and DA II. Don't quote me on that, though.

Whelp. Sailing into s straight B in this class :/

A year after you graduate, no one will care what your GPA was. Are you learning from the class?

Believe me, this is at least 112% true.

Yes. The only b%+%! is I needed the grade to get into the law honors society. Which I was hoping to use as a resume bump.

I know the B doesn't mean much in the long run, but I did want that honor. My resume is going to be thin and sad as it is

Silver Crusade

What are the requirements?

If a B is really a deal-breaker is extra credit available?

3.5 GPA. I'm only taking six courses, so each one is 16.66% of my entire GPA .

*sigh*

I'm just tired and down tonight. I need to get my Zen back

So I'm really giving some thought to doing a few more games. This new job gives me a lot of options. Some thoughts:

  • Sword and blaster type game based on The Integral Trees
  • Post-apocalyptic game with a twist. Maybe some sort of paradigm shift where the rules of physics change a la the Emberverse
  • Suicide Squad game where players make the most horrid characters imaginable and are tasked with a mission to win pardon from the kingdom
  • Zombie apocalypse

Another option: Start a Cypher System game. Just to learn the system

no. It's the Freehold edition. ;)

Still not as funny as Seattle calling their streetcars SLUTs (South Lake Union Transit).

LMAO

"I'll meet you there, I'm riding the 2:30 SLUT in"

OK. Enough feeling sorry for myself. My grades will be as they will be. No reason to cry.

Plus, I get an eight hour stretch before I have to work again this evening. I could get in a good sleep period. And a 12-hour gap from Midnight to 12 pm Saturday. Woo hoo!

Oh, and a pay check today. But it's a small one and already apportioned

Thanks Rags. It's hard realizing he's in his high Seventies now. He's always been very active and vital. Time is a muthaforker

Not bad enough to stay home sick (Can't, no one else to do my job anyway) :P
But bad enough to make it very difficult to put on my happy face and pretend like I can stand the usual stupidity that happens around me. :P

I had 100+ kids backstage ALL week last week (Hairspray, the musical) so I'm guessing one of them shared a cold. :/

To the witty and witless people everywhere! CHEERS! (Heck, it's 5pm SOMEwhere!) ;)

I hope you get over the drama crud! My only suggestion is zinc. 50 mg daily. I work around kids and sick people daily and so far I've only had one cold in the last three years

MOst Welcome my interweb friend. :)

Lost my dad a few years ago, and my mother is in her 70's and still working, (She learned Computer programing on typewriters that punched holes into index cards, and she's STILL doing it!) ;P I try not to worry about her too much, she is doing very well considering she has defeated breast cancer. Twice. :/

Thanks for the Zinc reminder! I think I have some Zinc lozenges in the med cabinet. I HAVE been drinking 2 'Immuni-C's a day since I realized I have something. WHatever it is, it is not terrible, just terribly persistent.

Best wishes to all near/affected by the hurricane, hope you all get high and dry (and non-tree-falling) soon! :)

Syndication?

Oh check your Gmail. I sent you something

But I haven't watched that series either. I think it was popular when I didn't own a TV set

IMHO B5 is one of the best science fiction TV series ever. I wish I had known that you had never seen it when you were in Savannah, GA. I would have lent it to you.

Soldier through season 1, it really lays a solid foundation for the epic to come.

No. Don't. Start with S02E01. See... that is where the bottle episodes stop and the arc stories happen. Then see season 1 when you know it a bit better.

Ahh Saturday. Only a wedding to drive, then Sunday I don't work until 4pm. I love being able to just relax for a bit

Is this really that big of a thing that I missed out on? I don't remember it being on TV at all (granted, I was fairly young, and we didn't have cable), and aside from my ex's brother mentioning it a few times, no one I knew ever really talked about it.

Even when we got cable, during the time when I did nothing but watch Farscape and Stargate SG-1 on the SciFi channel in my parents' basement, it never even crossed my radar. I think I heard Spoony mention it in passing on his show relatively recently, maybe, but other than that...
