Kamikaze Ninja Trick what type of action to activate?

Rules Questions

The Kamikaze Ninja trick doesn't specify and action type for activation.

My best guess would be that it's a swift action to activate as that seems to be the standard for Ki-Abilities (and where it isn't such as in Shadow Clone it's specified).

However neither the Ninja Trick Ability nor the the Ki-Pool ability make this clear.

Opinions?

Normally abilities that don't specify an action type default to a standard action. But consider the ability is activated by expending ki, and using ki is normally a swift action, it is likely that the action type should be a swift action.

Yeah that was kind of my thinking. But that means I might witness table variation in PFS.

Technically speaking, using ki pool abilities will default to standard action: only the bonus attack, extra movement and stealth bonus are automatically swift actions, and other abilities need to be specifically called out or they default to the normal action type (which for (Su) is a standard action).

Expect table variation, and ask the GM in advance.
