Cost of Communal Scrolls - same as normal scrolls or more?

So I have a player who is wanting to buy some scrolls during our current downtime in the Rise of the Runelords campaign.

He sent me his list of spells he wants to purchase.
One of them was Darkvision, Communal.

To which I asked him, what is that?
I just purchased Ultimate Combat recently, but hadn't delved into it enough to even know about the communal spells.

But my question is, does this alter the costs of the a 3rd level scroll just because it has the communal aspect?

My gut reaction is no, it's still a third level spell and the costs would remain the same.

Is that correct?
A scroll of Darkvision, Communal (base CL) would be 375 GP?

Thanks!

Darkvision is a 2nd level Wizard/Sorc spell. Darkvision, Communal is a 3rd level Wizard/Sorc Spell. The spell description says what level it is.

Other than material costs that some spells like stone skin have, the level costs are pretty clear. Just because it affects more than a single person doesn't matter. After all, so does fire ball.

This one's costs are nothing, Negated by eschew materials or a spell pouch.

It's level 3

Thank ya, fella's.

That's what I thought.
Love the easy ones. :D

Just remember that the caster level of the scroll is the minimum caster level to cast that spell. So if a Level 12 wizard casts a scroll of Communal Darkvision, he still casts it at 5th level (the minimum caster level for a 3rd level spell). As the GM, you can choose to let them buy/make scrolls at higher caster levels, but the default is the minimum caster level for the spell.

Since the number of targets and/or duration for communal spells is usually based on caster level, you will want to make this clear so your players know exactly what to expect.
