I thought of posting this as a sort of catch-all for little things GMs can do to make the games a bit more fun. Any ideas or premade props or whatever that someone has made for a game, we can post the idea (and the work) here so that other GMs can benifit. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't but here's what I got so far.

Instead of just having stuff fall into the player's lap at levels, I thought it would be nice to add some flavor as to where the gifts come from. To that end, I have written notes for some of the gifts (the first four, potion, money, armor/wand, and money again.) These are tailored for my players (and the gifts are pre-determined), but you can change them up to work for your party

(specifically, they mention a cleric of Shelyn in my party and a child of Kintargo/noble scion)

(First gift: Oil of Align Weapon-Good)

Felicia
-I hope this note finds you well. I dare not give this to you myself, but you know me. Choirmaster Zash has forbade me from joining the Silver Ravens. You understand how she hates violence, but you know her, she'll come around eventually.

I saved up a bit of coin and asked you-know-who to do an oil on the cheap. I wish I could afford more, but know that you have my support. So . . . I hope this helps. I hear that Chellaxians like summoning devils, and I also hear that devils don't like holy weapons.

-Your Big Sister

P.S. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone else how to found you. I don't even know where you are, just, friend of a friend kind of thing . . .

(Monitary gift: 750 GP/player)

Ravens:

Know that I, too, find the ludicrous laws enacted by a certain lord-mayor are a travesty against civilization, justice, and the Master of the First Vault However, the Archbanker has forbade me from publicly declaring my support for you or from providing any martial assistance. However, he has not made any such ruling against providing monetary assistance (though I suspect he will after he learns of this.) Enclosed is all the money I can spare currently, in convenient gem form (so as not to draw undo attention.)

Please note that the Temple of Abadar requires that we treat all who come to us with mercantile matters with respect and honor. Therefore, if you come to us, I vow that you will get a fair price, and I personally swear that I will keep our cupboards stocked with oils of Bless Weapon, if you should need them . . . for whatever reason.

-Banker Andronicous, Paladin of Abadar.

(Third Gift-Armor or wand worth 1200 gp or less, I chose mithral chain shirt)
Our City's Saviors!
-I can't fight, and I have children, so even if I could, I won't leave them motherless. But this MONSTER must be put in his place.

I hope this helps, it's a family heirloom. It's thin enough to wear under clothing, and doesn't make much noise, so imagine that would be of interest to you (so you can be sneaky and wear disguises over it or . . . whatever. I'm not a spy!). Just . . . use it please, and take down that bastard.

P.S. Sorry, I know it's not magical, but a friend of a friend said that is high enough quality to be enchanted, whatever that means . . .

(Second Monitary gift- 3000 GP/player)

Son:

I must say, I was surprised at you when my sources told me what you were up to, but you do what you feel is best. What's going on isn't exactly in my wheelhouse, you understand, and I can't risk looking bad in front of a certain, prominent family. However, I can't say as I disagree with your goals.

I've been quietly emptying some of our vaults for a while, trying to build up enough capitol to help you without drawing attention. However, the butler is beginning to catch on, so I'm afraid this will have to do for the time being. Please see to it that it is distributed among you and your top men evenly; a spymaster is only as good as his agents.

-Dad.

I definitely agree that they could and even should bet ailored to each individual group and have some sort of message to go along with 'em. This helps show the players that the city is truly thankful for what they've been doing so far and makes it so that they wan to liberate it even more.

As for my own changes, I'm going with a bit of a darker path. In my own campaign, silvered weapons (And silver-alchemical goods like weapon blanches) are far less common despite one of the city's exports being silver - my figure being is that Thrune has outlawed such items (or more specifically in my campaign, all of Cheliax in general has outlawed such items in the wake of Martial Law). Such items become black-market commodities and thus are available - for a price.

In addition, those who blatantly summon good-outsiders in public might be arrested on charges of working with the 'enemy'. One of my players is a Hidden Priest Cleric of Milani with a summoning focus so this'll be interesting ;)

And lastly I've been modifying the campaign to work with the Automatic Bonus Progression rules from Pathfinder Unchained - so far I'm greatly enjoying these rules and my players are looking forward to them as well. A few NPCs got minor buffs while others stayed roughly the same.

My players better not try and look at this!:
I also turned Azvernathi Raul into a Warpriest - he's decidely more dangerous now. Here are his stats if anyone wants them. Do remember he has +1 to all resistances due to the ABP rules - feel free to give him a cloak of resistance in your own game if you aren't using those rules, or give him back his +1 mace (though make it light, as it works better with him!)

Theres also another named NPC down below who leads the Redactors - an Unchained Monk 1/Cleric of Asmodeus 3 named Shiyanah Varth. Since I have six players, I added her and quite a few more redactors to even up the odds - she also is in control of numerous zombies upstairs and has one down below guarding her bedchambers.

Lots of other changes but in case my players sneak a peek, I don't want to spoil it. Its spoilered in case they're looking at my posts for whatever reason (dang stalkers).

So, at the end of book 2, Thrune hands out some gifts to the PCs as kind of a 'Trojan Horse.' Now, according to the game, these are supposed to be belts/headbands +2, but given that there are several other chances to get headbands (such as a +2 wisdom and +2 int being found in books 1 and 2, as well as a few others) here are some other options for your characters roughly on par for 4000 gold.

These are just off the top of my head, but they should get you started.

Fighter: Sash of the war Champion

Paladin/Cavalier/Samurai/: +1 Dragonhide Full plate

Barbarian/Cleric/Ranger/Slayer/Inquisitor/bloodrager/Medium: Mithral Breastplate

Bard/single hand melee hunter/Shaman/occultist: Caster's Shield, with a level 3 scroll

Druid: +2 Dragonhide Breastplate

Monk/Summoner (for Eidolon): Amulet of the Mighty fists +1

Rogue/Investigator/(Slayer with trapfinding): Burgaler's boots (minor)

Sorcerer/oracle/Archanist/Skald/Spiritualist: Page of Spell Knowledge (2nd)

Wizard/Magus/Witch/warpriest: Pearl of power (second)

Alchemist: Boro Bead (2nd)

Gunslinger: 50 +1 Adamantine Bullets

Ninja: 50 +1 Adamantine Shuriken

Brawler: +1 Brawling Lamallar Leather armor

Swashbuckler: Stone Salve

Kineticist/Any archer: Bracers of the Falcon

Mesmerist/Psychic: Lesser Logical Metamagic Rod +1 3rd lvl scroll

I know this is necro-posting, but I didn't want to make a new thread when this one is relevant.

I made a handout in google sheets that has all the locations from the Player's Guide.
