I have read several comments that WoTR has a lot of treasure. My group is about to end book 1. My concern is Kenabres is pretty lacking in magical gee-gaws and money. And Drezen does not look much better. After that it is off to explore the Worldwound in book 3.
Are there opportunities for the party to liquidate loot and upgrade in the other books? At least until 9th level and teleport is available?

Between Book 2 & 3 there is ample downtime available for the PCs to travel/teleport to larger cities to buy loot.
Make sure they stock up in Kenabres as once they leave they won't be able to buy or sell. I found that there was more than enough loot available for a party of 5 without me having to make adjustments to wealth, but you know your party best and should thumb through it all to make sure its appropriate to your party's make up.
In book 3, Drezen is a full city and has ample opportunity to sell items and since it's "home base" your players should be returning there at least 2 or 3 times before going to the Ivory Sanctum. Kenabres has some items available and can buy items (I figured that the army would be happy to buy lots of the loot). The only real issue with selling is book 2. From leaving Kinabres to clearing out the Citidel you have no access to shops or anything. the PCs don't have to lug it all around since you can leave most with the Army. It felt like the gear kind of lagged in book 2 because of this, but between downtime, crafting and just selling all the stuff collected, there is a huge jump in wealth in book 3.
Also, once they hit book 4, they gain access to the larges market in the planes outside of Axis so they can purchase anything the heart desires after that point.
Similar issue in book 5 as in book 2, once you start the quest, there is unlikely to be access to many shops. Loot drops are good though.
