Hey all,
I'm just sat having a look through the cards in my RotRL base set (and newly acquired character add on set). Obviously I have added the character add-on set to the base set itself.
However, I have currently been keeping the Burnt Offerings set on its own in its adventure path box. Ive done this for the moment as me and my friends would like to complete the Perils of the Lost Coast before continuing on to the adventure path set.
My question is, if we are playing through the PotLC campaign first, are the BO set of cards supposed to be added to the box already?
I ask because the set has other basic cards (weapons and allies etc), that seem like they could be added to a starting character deck. Obviously the henchmen and the villains associated with the set would be excluded anyway.
Or should it stay completely separate until we beat PotLC?
Thank all! (hope this made sense)

You shouldn't add a deck until you are ready to start that deck. So, don't add Burnt Offerings until you are ready to start the Burnt Offerings adventure.
I think the only Basic boon in Burnt Offerings is the Dogslicer, a weapon. Other things might be Elite, and there might be some Basic banes, but that is the only Basic boon.
Basic serves two purposes: (1) Boons that are basic you can use in your starting deck. (2) Boons and Banes that are basic are subject to being removed from the game starting in adventure 3 (The Hook Mountain Massacre). You'll see that rule on the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path card.

OK hawkmoon, Thanks
Does this mean that, for the rest of the adventure paths associated with RotRL. The BO set should stay in the box amongst all the other cards so as to allow the weapons, enemies and items etc to be able to be encountered at a later adventure? For example the Skinsaw Murders adventure.
Or is that the only adventure that those certain weapons can be collected/encountered?

You are welcome.
They stay in the box for later adventures. You add cards as you start an adventure. You only ever remove cards based on the rule from the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path card.
After you begin The Hook Mountain Massacre, whenever you banish a bane with the Basic trait, remove it from the game; whenever you you banish a boon with the Basic trait, you may remove it from the game. After you begin Sins of the Saviors, do the same for cards with the Elite trait.
