Can a Core Barbarian take the Unchained Barbarian Powers

Rules Questions

I've been looking through the boards and internet and I cannot find a straight answer. I wish to have my core barbarian take the accuracy stance but I do not know if the unchained powers are just for the unchained barbarian. so, Can a Core Barbarian take the Unchained Barbarian Powers ?

not in PFS

No, not under normal circumstances. Of course a GM could allow you to take it anyways, but Uncahined Rage Powers are supposed to be exclusively for the Unchained Barbarian.

Thank you

That said, only a handful (4?) of the UnRage powers refer to mechanics particular to the UnBarbarian, and even then they could generally be used by a Barbarian without altering the text at all. There are only one or two which would actually need to be adjusted. Thus, it would be fairly easy to house rule them in.

I actually tried to provide a more thorough answer earlier, but the website went down for maintenance. Here is what I intended to say:

Notably, Unchained Barbarians also can't take the core version of many rage powers. They were converted to work differently than the core version even though they go by the same name. Other rage powers simply can't be taken by the Unchained Barbarian.

The idea is that the rage powers are balanced on the chassis they were intended for. Not as a grab bag.
