Telekinetic Blast needs Throw Anything?

Did I read it correct: In order to use Telekinetic Blast from the Kineticist class in occult adventures:

I need to pick up Throw Anything?
(unless you use the blast the other way and substitute con for str to do the damage?)

You do not need Throw Anything in order to use TK Blast. You pick up things with your mind and hurl them. It's more of a visual, unless you use an object that has a specific value. If you decide to use the alternative version of the ability, where you are using the weapon itself to deal damage and your Blast to provide launching power, then yet, you might have to pick up Throw Anything, as some things aren't meant to be thrown (such as a greatsword). Really, the only way this becomes a viable option is when using a 2h weapon or using Flurry of Blasts / Many Throw to throw lots of things at once.

Flurry of Blasts / Many Throw + bolas + Bowling Infusion. Trip all the things.
