The print books *should* be available by late July/early August, assuming no delays in the printing and ocean shipping process.
While PDFs for Aethera will go on sale on DrivethruRPG and RPGNow on Friday, print books will not be available there, as they only sell print-on-demand hardcopy books produced through their own printer. Since we are going with an independent printer, that won't be an option.
Print books and print/PDF bundles will be available through the Open Gaming Store and through Paizo, though not until the physical books arrive and are entered into their systems.
As a side note, while we're delighted if you pick up Aethera (or any of our Legendary Games products) in print here or wherever you can find them, we always encourage people to patronize our site directly whenever possible. If you preorder directly from us, you get in on the first wave of shipments as soon as the books arrive.
In addition, vendor sales outlets take a substantial cut in exchange for hosting products, and that cut is much larger for print books than it is for PDFs - 30% on the Open Gaming Store (vs. 20% on PDFs) and 50% (vs. 25% for PDFs) on Paizo. If want to buy here, then God bless you and thank you for your support, but like Robert said, check out the Legendary Games webstore; you're gonna love it!

Any updates on the status of the printed copy of the book?
I have about 900 copies at my house right now!
We're working to finish the intake process with Amazon so we can get the inbound shipments to their distribution centers scheduled, and once the books arrive there and get processed we'll start shipping out. Intake should be done in a few more days, and it's usually about 1-3 weeks for the books to get there and processed. So, if all goes as expected, we should start shipping out to backers around the end of the month. Once the backer books and preorders on the LG site are on their way, the books will go live at Paizo and other sales sites.
We'll also have books at GenCon!

Hi, Robert.
Any updates on shipment? There hasn't been anything on the Kickstarter page in a while.
Sorry for bugging you, but I'm eager to have the book in my hands.
Amazon has been stonewalling us over a technical glitch, so we've started getting set up with an alternate vendor. There may be a break in the ice at Amazon, but at this point whichever vendor comes through first will get the job, and one way or another we hope to have our outbound shipment set up by the end of the week.
It's a long and maddening story, but what seemed like it would be a simple process got derailed for a solid month. We are certainly disappointed we could not get your books to you already and you have our sincere apologies for the delay, but the wheels are moving again and things should be heading out soon!

We're moving books! Backers should have received a notification to lock down their addresses as of last week. We'll be moving books for both Backers and Pre-Orders in phases. backers should receive a shipping notice when the books go out provided your email address I have (the one you use for Kickstarter) is valid.
IT'S HAPPENING DOT GIF

We finally broke through the Amazon logjam, and the pallets went out last week, the first of which has been processed and ready for shipment. The first phase went out over the weekend when I had time to get things set up, and Robert will be taking over from there getting the books rolling. The first wave of books should be reaching their final destinations around August 7!

The massive Aethera Field Guide is in layout now, with tons of creatures and lore for all the planets of the system. It should go out to Kickstarter backers (from the Alien Bestiary Kickstarter) first but should be ready for general consumption by the end of July, and hopefully we'll have print copies available in time for GenCon.
Wanted in the Wastes is next up in the queue, and should be ready for layout after the AFG is done.
As for the Intrigue Manual and Aethertech Manual, those are a little more up in the air but we'll see how things go while we work on several of the other adventures that are already in the pipeline and being worked on.
