I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to have 2 paths/orders for a samurai.
Basically I'm attempting to make ruroni kenshin... As in, he mostly does subdue/nom lethal damage, until he is forced into having to kill... Which is against the order of the blue rose.
So, can anyone offer any help for me to accomplish this?
Before you suggest that I take the ronin path, I've looked at it, and it doesn't fit at all...

Even if you have two paths, you'd be obligated to follow the constraints of both, not one or the other. That having been said, there's nothing wrong with (and, even, thematically appropriate) using Blue Rose. Kenshin took a solid oath to never take another life. Even the prospect of going into a fight in which he might need to kill someone sets him to inner turmoil. Actually needing to kill someone in a fight has a relatively high opportunity cost for such a character; he must forego his Order benefits for 24 hours. Honestly, I think that's a little bit too light for such a character; Kenshin would more likely pursue Atonement for such an act. I'd be tempted to say that, in Golarion, Kenshin would be a multi-class or gestalt Sword Saint Samurai of the Blue Rose/Enlightened Paladin (of Shelyn) w/ Vow of Loyalty.
Correction: Vow of Loyalty and Enlightened Paladin both replace Smite Evil. Probably just stick with Enlightened and make "don't kill anyone" a part of your code.

"When the cavalier makes use of this ability, he must attempt to subdue his target without killing it; dealing lethal damage after using this ability, or allowing his allies to kill the target, is considered a violation of his edicts."
This is where I run into issues tho... Seeing as how the rest of the group will obviously be murder hobos...

No one said it would be easy. Kenshin's path isn't "easy"; it's very hard. You will need to convince your murder hobo teammates to play nice otherwise you will either curbstomp them (nicely) or you get neutered for a day. Confronted with the prospect of a potent ally taking a dip in power if they don't play by his rules, they can modify their approach. If they really can't do that, they don't really understand how to roleplay.
