I've been a bit oocuppied this week, but I'll make a proper introduction post this weekend.

Hey everyone. I apologize for disappearing. I've had something pretty major happen and I'm trying really hard to deal with it and protect another soldier. I can't really go into much details, but it's pretty important, and also sort of out of nowhere. I've been dealing with that a lot recently and just have not had the time to get online much. I want to apologize to everyone, and I hope I can get back here soon.

Sorry everyone. I have not been able to see the game (or any game) for a while due to the charity sale. Every time I got onto Paizo, the page was just blank, both the general forums and also My Campaigns. The few times I could actually open up a thread, by the time I could try to post, the site went blank again. This is the first time in a while I can even get on, so I wanted to make sure I at least let people know what's going on. I've got to catch up on things since 26Feb, and I'm trying to do that now, but I wanted to at least get this in real fast.

Hey everyone my posting might be a little sporadic, just started my new job today, and i'm not used to actually being awake during the light hours of the day, so until they move me to third shift like i'm supposed to be, yeah things might be a bit sparse.

PM is fine, or email to Darthbeckett@Gmail.com
Iv found the easiest way to desiminate them is to create a Google Drive folder (view only) and upload them all. Drop a link and everyone can simply download as needed. It also allows people to go back later and redownload if they loose it. I have probably a hundred sets of chronicles on there and still have plenty of room left, and its 100% free.

The quality is quite bad though, if downloaded from Google Drive. Or am I doing something wrong?

Is there anyway to download an individual image from the slide? I mean maybe it's just the lack of sleep but any advice would be appreciated XD.

Is it possible to send a less blurry version to my email? It is a bit too blurry for me to read. (I sent you my email in a PM.)

Something like this? =D
You could do it that way.
Here is an example from one of my older games. I saved the Chronicle Sheet as a PDF first (which I should have mentioned) before editing it. Once editing and saving individual copies, I then opened up Google "My Drive" and created a new folder (for each game), and then simply upload the PDF's.
I'm just trying to be helpful and spread some of the tricks I've picked up, so don't feel like you have to do this on my account, I just figured you might be interested. And now that I think abut it, I've done something I've been meaning to do for a while, and created a folder for many of the blank single page Chronicle Sheets I have, that others could copy and use if they like.
HERE is a link to that Google Drive Folder, and I'll add to it as I go. Included are a PDF copy for all of the Scions Chronicles, if you like, but again, do not feel as though you need to do anything special on my account. And others can also feel free to use it if they like.

Also, I have slightly updated/rebuilt the character. Purchased a Wand of Comprehend Languages (2 PP), swapped out spells, purchased a few mundane items (notable a Longbow and arrows), and also swapped out Stand Still for Improved Init.

I've uploaded the chronicles in slightly higher quality.
Gunther; how do I A. save something as a PDF (my file seems locked), and B. edit said PDF?
If you like, my email is above, and I do not mind at all doing a few screen shots and a walkthrough. Also, I use Windows, so if you use Mac, it may be a little bit different, but my understanding is that Macs already come with a free PDF Creator/Extractor program.
I utilize a free program called PDF 24 Creator. Open the Scenario in that program and then extract the Chronicle Sheet, saving it to desktop (or a location for easy access).
Once it's saved, Open that new PDF in Adobe (or whatever other PDF reader you normally use), and then, on the right side, near the scroll bar, is an arrow to open up some options in a small window. Comment is the one you want to edit.
The first thing I do is edit in the things that will be true for everyone's chronicle, or for most at least. Event, DM Signature, DM PFS ID, normally the Subtier GP, XP, etc. . .
Once that is all done, I save another copy of the Chronicle PDF so that if something happens down the road while editing each specific player's Chronicle Sheet, I can just open that one up and do not need to start over from scratch.
Then, I start to make all of the personal Chronicle Sheets, adding in Player/Character name, Day Job rolls, and all of the things that only apply to that one character. Save a new copy for each player. Normally this is pretty easy, as you can just copy/paste that info in directly save, copy/paste the next player's info, save, and repeat for all of them, including your DM Chronicle. (I create a new folder for each game, and save all the copies there.)
It sounds like it take a while, but honestly once you get the basics, it really only takes 10-15 minutes from start to finish for everyone.
Once you have all the copies complete, go ahead and close PDF24 and Adobe. We are done with them. Go to the location where you have all the saved Chronicle Sheet PDFs, and first make sure they are all correct. No mistakes, like forgetting one player is playing Out of Tier, or there was a special Faction-Only Boon. Then, highlight all of the PDF's, right click and open Properties, and make sure to click the option that says "Read Only" (and Apply). (This allows you to save them all so that others can not alter them. While it's still possible, that's one of those things that cheaters are going to cheat.)
Finally, open up Google Drive. Create a new Folder. Note: this is not Google Drawings/Sheets/Documents. Google Drive itself. Name the Folder as needed, and then literally drag and drop all of the Chronicle Sheets into that folder.
Up near the top middle of the screen you should see My Drive > __________ (with _______ being whatever you named the folder. Right click on that, and open up "Sharing".
Make sure to change the dropbox option TO "Can VIEW", and then hit the "Get Sharable Link" button at the top right. This alters the window with a new option, and the link you need is already highlighted. Literally just copy it, in a separate internet tab open up the game, and paste the link, (just in case you loose it or internet crashes). Once copied to the game for everyone, go back to the Google Drive tab and hit Done. And that's it.
:P

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Actually, I had a little free time and just decided to do a Google Slides version Walkthrough.
HERE is the link.
Please let me know if I could be more clear anywhere, or something is missing, or there are any issues. I believe that the newer version of PDF24 (I still have the original version I liked better), is slightly different, for example, but it should be fairly compatible and similar.
