The Butcher from Diablo I to Pathfinder

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to pick a creature in which to base in order to recreate the infamous Butcher from Diablo I into Pathfinder rules as well as giving stats to The Butcher Cleaver. Any advice would be deeply appreciated...

I'd start with ogre or ogrekin and go from there.

Scarab Sages

You know there was a series of about 3 products for 3rd edition that covered Diablo 2 pretty well. One was the 3.5 reprint of a 3.0 product and the other was just random item generation tables. That one was called the Diablerie. I can't remember what the main campaign book was. I think there was a version of The Butcher in there that might be a good point of reference.

As for a base creature I'd say somewhere between ogre and hill giant. Given Pathfinder's ogre's tendency towards cleavers and savage butchery I'd say it would be a good match.

For the cleaver I would go 2d6 base dmg, large 2handed weapon 18-20x2 crit range, maybe make it magical +1 enhancement bonus and keen to further increase crit range and keep to the theme.

Wereboar with the giant simple template might do it for the Butcher himself.

ogre, the cleaver is a variant ogre hook (bonus to sunder instead of trip), advanced simple template, class levels in barbarian, fighter or ranger (adds more ability score improvements for free), background skills: Profession (butcher, cook).

Thank you a lot to everybody. You guys rock!
