Sometimes it's the simple solutions that are effective :) You'd be surprised how many people get stumped by some things when smashing things would be the solution, or well one of the solutions!
I am just really really glad that for once something like that didn't backfire on us. I love our little gang and would hate to have to roll up a new one, although it wouldn't take me long :S
Male Vine Leshy Druid (Treesinger) 3 / Hierophant 1
Hey guys! I'm sorry, but I'm stepping out of the game. With a baby on the way here, my already limited time will now be terrible, so I'm reducing my online activities overall. I wish you all fun! Take care, and thanks GM again for the opportunity :)
I'm back as well folks! Not ignoring the rez, I broke my desktop trying to move my OS between hard drives and have to start completely from scratch. With 700 gigs of programs and files I have soooo much work to do installing windows 7 fresh on another hard drive and then figuring out how to retrieve the data from the faulty HD.
welcome back :)
I thoroughly look forward to the moment I get to play headgames with you >:)
Also, I think that you are still in the other room, you would have woken up all alone since the kobold came back to up ^-^
Could be quite the shock!
Side thought, Apparently I can mindlink with the dog as well! (Edit: NM, the dog needs 1 more Int) I dont imagine that the conversation would be very deep, but it could be funny!
--Hia buddy! What do you want?--

So, first time i looked up the ring of maniacal devices, i saw the bonus on crafting traps and thought it'd be fun to combine Knowledge(Engineering) with Craft(Traps) to make big exploding traps for our little fort and tinker with whatever devices we come across, but checking the bonus and seeing it also goes towards disabling devices, which may be better for Iraldia, as our rogueish huntress. thoughts?
Well, while Midioto can mess with your emotions, attract can't make you obsess over the pillar or go too far out of your way to figure out how magical it is.
Hmmm. Well using the power was meant to be funny and whimsical (ive used my powers so far to feed myself, make a friend, talk and play a practical joke. Midioto is definitely squandering his power) but if your not having fun then I failed at that task and Ill drop it. I was hoping to create a fun interaction, that was all. Oh well ^-^
It made me chuckle. I just mentioned my warning because this crew is still on edge. Only been free for a couple of days. And who can't laugh at 1 2 3 in a row?
Well Vin was mentioning about potential romances, I just didn't think you were quite ready to settle down and find a strong foundation to become attached to. But we can respect your decisions if it must come to that :P
I dunno about you guys, but piazo has been crashing a lot the last few days.
I think I'm at 3 nostores in the last 2 days :(
Also, it could just be my tablet :)
Just wanting to say, go ahead and level up and pick your mythic path. I will detailing extra stuff of what special things you've received in my next post once everyone makes their rounds.
O.O
Oh, I didn't see that one coming... 2 levels and mythic?
Lol. I'll have to do some reading XD
And I'll do a gameplay post tomorrow, its 2am fight now...
--sleep...--
Oh ya, speaking of, how long have we been asleep for? 3+ hours? I'll have to reset my telepathy :)
Mythic power is a resource that you spend to do charge various abilities. So at first level all mythic characters have 5 Mythic Power. Now as a champion you would use a charge of mythic power to do use Fleet Charge or Sudden Attack, whichever you choose. Mythic power recharges when you rest.
Mythic Power can also be used by all character to affect a d20 die roll. You can choose to expend a charge of mythic power to add 1d6 to a d20 roll. At 4th tier that d6 turns into a d8, 7th d10, 10th d12.
Many of your path abilities also require mythic power. So while it seems like you get alot every tier in fact you can blow your wad in a single combat.
And for your 1st Tier path ability that's a tough one. Always a Chance (Ex) would be a good one because with your insane bonus to hit a 1 on the die roll would not be an auto fail. Mythic Rage (Su) would also be good against tougher opponents because when you rage you ignore ANY DR they might have. Finally Titan's Bane (Ex) would be good because you could get all up in big mobs face without AoO.
For your Champion's Strike I would suggest Sudden Attack over Fleet Charge. So far to this point you've mainly stood your ground or took a 5 foot step in combat. Fleet Charge can only be used when you move whereas Sudden Attack can be used round after around.
Yeah I don't know too much about the system either. Octavian and Vis are slowly explaining a lot of it to me and so far I think I have a tenuous grasp. But yes all to be understood in due time I suppose :P
We get 1 mythic feat per odd mythic tier. so 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th. We cannot take mythic feats as per our normal feat progression. So going to 4th level we get 1 normal feat at 3rd level and 1 mythic feat at 1st tier.
Another big thing everyone has to remember is that at every even tier starting at 2nd we get a +2 permanent increase to an ability of our choice. Every time you get that bonus you can apply it to a different ability score or stack the shizznit out of a single score.
Also once you choose a mythic path you have to stay on that path until 10th tier. There are abilities that allow you to add another tier list to your choices for the purpose of Path Abilities but you can only be 1 mythic type until after 10th tier. IF, and thats a big if, we continue to adventure beyond 10th tier we can choose another mythic path. Now at that time we would have to create some house rules because the mythic system isn't designed to go beyond 10th.
I'm torn between Champion and Trickster. Both have things that would be fun. Uncanny Grapple would be helpful, but i also really like This Just Might Work.
You will sacrifice alot of offensive power if you go trickster Tsakua. An option for you is to take Dual Talent as your first mythic feat. That gives you 2 lists to choose from whenever you get a path ability.
So if you were a Champion with Dual Talent (Trickster), you could choose a champion or trickster path ability at every tier but you would still be a Champion.
You wont actually lose much damage by going trickster. You can take the fleet charge ability with both classes and if you want to focus more on combat maneuvers (such as grappling or using martial flexibility) the trickster can help you out with those :)
I also like the This Just Might Work ability (along with the Improbable Prestidigitation!!) and it should be fine to go with a more utility based ability then straight damage.
Besides, if you really wanted to you can take the Path Dabbling ability to cherry pick something from the other classes :)
Just FYI, one of the things you can do is use your Fleet Charge (or surprise strike) ability to initiate a grapple as a swift action, then use your standard action to do something to him (like pin him) which could really speed up your grapples.
@Breewyn
Heirophant is cool :) In case you didnt know, the main difference between Inspired Spell and Recalled Blessing is that Inspired Spell lets you cast any spell on your list (not just the ones you know) and Recalled Blessing forces opponents to roll saves twice (and you roll heals twice).
Inspired is more versatile, Recalled has a greater chance to affect someone.
As for abilities, Faiths Reach is nice (if you plan on using touch attacks), Sustained by Faith lets you rest and recuperate in 1 hour instead of 8, Mythic Spellcasting can* be good (if you are using a spell that can be boosted by mythic), Commune with Power could be nice, giving you Legit Metagaming once a day :)
Or if you really wanted to you could get a Legendary Item.Edit: Dont go legendary item XD
Now I have to decide what I am going for myself :)
